Darkening clouds form
Tomorrow without light
Fractured hope moans
Breathing through each night
Sunrise blackened out
Opportunity stalls
Fractured hope sleeps
Feeling ever small
Foundation crumbling
Harmony’s rhythm lost
Fractured hope waits
Seeing future tossed
New avenues blocked
All trust shrinking away
Fractured hope mends
Sharing voice this day
Boldness awakens
Resilience glides ahead
Restored hope swells
Serving joy to spread
Touching each distant star
Heavens open with joy
Journey’s welcome radar
Preparing to deploy
Viewing horizon’s light
Landscape’s inviting scene
Echoes of spirit’s flight
Embracing all that’s green
Flowing from river’s grace
Life awakens from peace
Eagerly keeping pace
Fitting each puzzle piece
Scaling mountainous peak
World sharing its footprints
Tomorrow’s hope one seeks
Sharing every imprint
Hearing contented voice
Comfort softens each heart
Truth offers steadfast choice
Stepping into day’s start
Radiant sunrise
Landscape springs forward with hope—
Goodbye winter blues
Refreshing rebirth
Creation’s blessed treasures—
Spring’s salvation blooms
Spring’s welcoming breath
Waking from winter’s slumber—
Freshened with color
Pre-dawn’s innocence
Preview with minimal light—
Sunrise holding back
Epic cataract
Lazy river’s destiny—
Crushing waters roar
Creator’s spirit
Tall grasses reach to heavens—
Prairie much alive
From Hebrews 10:24-25: “And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Peering into depth of darkness
Seeking remedy to life’s ills
Light of perseverance comes forth
Trusting to obey Father’s will
Filling hope with light’s endurance
Tasting Father’s sustaining grace
Spiritual awakening
Walking toward salvation’s birthplace
Entering light’s sanctuary
Calvary’s cross, bloodstained
Redemption from sinful darkness
Forgiving debts, no longer chained
Thirsting to follow Christ, thy Lord
Receiving light of peace each day
Replenished from living waters
Embracing His hope-filled pathway
Replacing darkness with His light
Following Father’s divine Word
Righteousness fills faith’s every breath
Witnessing truth as prophets heard
From Hebrews 10:37-39: “For yet in a very little while, the one who is coming will come and will not delay, but My righteous one will live by faith. My soul takes no pleasure in anyone who shrinks back. But we are not among those who shrink back and so are lost but among those who have faith and so preserve our souls.”
Ah, September! You are the doorway to the season that awakens my soul.

Waking at midnight
Blessed with moon-free sky
Peering into galaxy’s midst
Endless stars twinkle “hi”
Waking with silence
Moonlight dropping in
Feeling heavens’ distant light
Harmony’s smiling grin
Waking in darkness
Storm’s thunder crashes
Rolling over quiet thoughts
Lightning’s outburst flashes
Waking to calmness
Creek gently rolls by
Flowing with tranquil spirit
Landscape waving “goodbye”
Dreaming no longer
Each hour filled with rest
Composing nightly rhythm
Set for tomorrow’s quest
Welcome blessed child
May you taste world’s endless gifts—
Vision awakens
Eyes find breath of peace
Embracing each precious day—
Experience counts
Remembering youth
Innocent times of learning—
Treasures of friendship
Mountain’s deep snowpack
Creeks feeding mighty rivers—
Living waters flow
Gathering each day
Birds’ welcoming harmony—
Perfection in song
Field planting finished
Another day filled with rain—
Farmers celebrate
Early morning light
Missing in action
Shrouded in darkness
Each tiny fraction
Heavens open up
Twinkling Milky Way
Lighted gateway beams
Eagerness to play
Midnight comes calling
Harvesting full moon
Nestled with intrigue
Dish capturing Spoon
Gentle breeze waking
Stirring quiet chimes
Composed every night
Harmony’s crisp rhymes
Horizon still sleeps
Casting morning’s net
Awakened at dawn
Sun’s rising reset
