I’ve never heard of an elfchen poem–had to look up its format! I love how the brevity of each line leaves room for the reader to contemplate the meaning and their own connections. For example, in your first elfchen, that last word “Light” was a surprise. But a few moments of consideration brought to mind that we do experience more light–of wisdom and understanding as we grow in our relationship with God. Or perhaps Proverbs 4:18 was your inspiration: “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the ful light of day!”
