From Matthew 5:1-3: “When Jesus saw the crowds, he went up the mountain, and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him. And He began to speak and taught them, saying: ‘Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.'”

Christ’s devotion to teaching sprouts
Spirit stirs within, reaching out
God’s people face darkness and mourn
Jesus rises, mercy reborn
Humbleness fills each grateful heart
Jesus delivers life’s fresh start
Righteousness quenches every thirst
Jesus fills hunger, love immersed
Forgiveness offers Living Bread
Jesus leaves Spirit in His stead
Purity in heart brings God near
Jesus offers breath of grace to steer
Peace sown in trusting hearts of man
Jesus offers hope from God’s own plan
Children of God shall overcome
Jesus blesses kingdom to come
Christ’s motivations never cease
Spirit’s fruits cherish joy-filled peace

From Matthew 5:6: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
My favorite verse:
“Children of God shall overcome
Jesus blesses kingdom to come”

If we as Christians would always live by the Fruits of the Spirit this world would be people more like Christ than ourselves, something to think about.

Eileen, I appreciate your observation. Our world needs to better focused on this tenet.

Pingback: Spirit Stirs Within – QuietMomentsWithGod
You highlighted so many blessings God bestows! In this moment I found this verse especially meaningful: “Peace sown in trusting hearts of man / Jesus offers hope from God’s own plan.” We are never without hope, are we. Lord, help me remember you WILL enable us to triumph (2 Corinthians 2:14), whatever his [always perfect] plan might include. / Thank you, Richard!
