Serenity is another word for peace; something we all long to have. Where do we find this peace? Peace comes from trusting in God.
From Isaiah 26:3: “Those of steadfast mind You keep in peace, in peace because they trust in You.”
Charles Swindoll (born 1934) is an American pastor and Christian author.
Life is a pure flame, and we live by an invisible Sun within us.
A quiet mind cures all.
Robert Burton (1577-1640) was a English scholar, clergyman, and author.
Rhythm’s Balance
Thinnest clouds gather
Horizon’s comforting song—
Rainfall’s gentle pace
Fabric’s Serenity
Landscape’s loving touch
Daughter of darkness sleeping—
Tranquility’s breath
Overnight’s Transition
Nightly darkness fades
Morning’s quiet peace rises—
Transforming earth’s heart
Heartfelt
Christian faith
Walking with Jesus
Embraced in mercy’s light
Enthusiasm
Peaceful
Heavenly tides
Offering of grace
Comforted through Savior’s love
Witness
Contagious
In spirit
Softening hardened heart
Christ in every breath
Faith
Put your hand into the hand of God. He gives the calmness and serenity of heart and soul.
From Isaiah 49:13: “Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the Lord has comforted His people and will have compassion on His suffering ones.”
Lettie B. Cowman (1870-1960) was an American writer of Christian devotional books.
Warmest beginnings
Sunrise’s gift of welcome—
Youthful innocence
Horizon’s shadows
Sunset offers gratitude—
Joyful innocence
Landscape now resting
Under serenity’s quilt—
Nightly innocence
Dawn’s welcoming sign
Sunrise offers daily grace—
Unforgettable
Morning showers fade
Rainbow’s vividness appears—
Testament of peace
Evening’s curtain drops
Serenity’s sunset glows—
Time’s faithful footnote
Window’s morning view
Feeling pull of forest’s tune—
Heart breathes harmony
Sunset’s gentle breeze
Turning heavenly pages—
Endless horizons
Summer soon fading
Waiting for autumn’s return—
Filling with color
Gray, overcast skies
Precious rain descends
Morning’s gentle spirit
Welcome back dear friend
Time’s hands standing still
Serenity shares
Fine mist of heaven’s grace
View from kitchen chair
Songbirds’ harmony
Nearby thicket sings
Always perfect pitch
Soft feather’s bowstring
Everlasting gift
Calm shower transcends
Sweetness cascading down
Thank you dearest friend
Grateful for this day
Filled with freshest hope
Morning calls, “Come again”
Now, down periscope
Witnessing an early morning rain inspires the visions for this poem. It is amazing how a view through an open window can bring forth images to write from.

Replenishing parched, barren land
Serenity’s rain, from God’s hand
Quenching desert’s eternal thirst
Nature smiling, joy now disbursed
Nourishing life with loving pride
Flora and fauna, at God’s side
Touching each leaf, stems from God’s love
Hues of green, colored from above
Singing with praise, birds bless this scene
Creation glowing, dazzling sheen
Sharing splendor, feeling at peace
Morning rain, grants life a new lease
Listening closely, hearing now
God’s serenity, takes a bow
