Gentleness

From Philippians 4:5:  “Let Your gentleness be known to everyone.  The Lord is near.”

Savior filled with truth

Gentleness flows

Outward to others

Spirit knows

Ready to listen

Gentleness stirs

Shared with believers

Grace transfers

Savior always near

Gentleness loves

Risen from dark tomb

Peace-filled dove

Prayer opens heart

Gentleness speaks

Light shatters darkness

Mercy seeks

Savior’s faithful bridge

Gentleness leads

Steady, trusted rock

Heaven’s seeds

From Philippians 4:8:  “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Autumn’s Rainbow

Autumn’s faithful gateway

Crisp mornings rolling out

Season’s changing screenplay

Brilliant colors now shout

Kaleidoscope of tints

Autumn’s happy exchange

Day’s colorful blueprint

Fallen leaves to arrange

Summer’s heat fades away

Winter patiently parks

Autumn’s vibrant bouquet

Each color-filled trademark

More gentle days ahead

How quickly they will go

Each vivid, glossy spread

Autumn’s colored chateau

Few more colors glowing

Nature quiets her pace

Autumn’s rainbow slowing

Full of Creator’s grace

Both God and Man

Monday Memories: Infinite Road

person wearing white shirt walking on dirt road

Photo by Wendy Wei on Pexels.com

Walking this lonely road

Losing count of each step

Packing life’s hefty load

Careful not to misstep

Miles of infinite road

Where will it finally end?

Life scanned, like some bar code

What lies around the bend?

Few answers on this road

Walking day after day

Needing life to reload

Feeling like nature’s prey

Danger lurks on this road

Always staying alert

Life delayed in safe mode

Old, worn boots kicking dirt

Life resembles this road

Challenges come and go

Heavy, infinite load

Never walking too slow

Redemption’s Ticket

From Ephesians 2:8  “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”

Photo by Bich Tran on Pexels.com

Dotting I’s, crossing T’s

Life’s performance checklist

Nice life bestowed on thee

Knowing Father shall insist

Worshipping each Sunday

Dollars fill collection

Mirror says, “Good Christian”

Seeking Father’s affection

Feeling faith’s emptiness

Life’s perfection falls short

Redemption’s ticket waits

Striving for Father’s passport

Hearing at last, Word’s truth

New covenant shall rise

Hope’s mercy calls for faith

Fulfilling Father’s franchise

Receiving salvation

Despite life’s sinful walk

By grace, Savior redeems

Grasping Father’s faithful rock

Opening Thy Door

Photo by Erik Mclean on Pexels.com

Standing outside door

Holy Son of Man

Knocking and waiting

Sharing Father’s grace plan

Conquering darkness

Timeless gift He brings

Coming to serve man

Soaring on eagle’s wings

Hearing now His voice

Sacred, divine love

Calling to repent

Witnessing from above

Opening thy door

Christ boldly walks in

Showing wounded hands

Forgiving every sin
