Joni Mitchell Quotes

Photo by Shelagh Murphy on Pexels.com

When the world becomes a massive mess with nobody at the helm, it’s time for artists to make this work.

I see music as fluid architecture.

Joni Mitchell (born 1943) is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter and painter.

Monday Memories: Procrastinators Club

From 2 Corinthians 9:6:  “The point is this:  the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

Hey you, yes you!

Sitting there alone

Life without a view

Lack of efficient action

Reaping fear and doubt

Living without traction

Being a loyal member

Procrastinators Club

Ever since November

Life’s emotional quicksand

Robbing your life rewards

Time to join a new band

Do you really desire?

To find true happiness

Without life’s misfires

Seeking God’s advice

He’ll always support you

His Grace pays the price

Spending little attention

With overwhelming fears

Can’t relax without tension

Take courage, now believe

Jesus conquers the world

Time for your life to achieve

Released from gloom

Fleeing this quagmire

Life ready to bloom

King’s Solomon’s words implant

Whoever watches the wind

Will never attempt to plant

Time to change is now

Adopt new life patterns

Sowing with a new plow

Here’s some simple advice

Now follow this amazing tip

Better than throwing dice

Do first things—first!

Better sooner, than later

Darkest clouds now burst

Each challenge, take it on

Looking fear in the face

Reaping rewards, feeling strong

Handling life, forever free

Tearing up my membership

Procrastinator, no longer me

From American writer and lecturer, Dale Carnegie:  “Action breeds confidence and courage.  If you want to conquer fear, do not sit at home and think about it.  Go out and get busy.”

Our faith is strengthened by our patient journey with the Lord.  Listen and watch, He will lead us to the right door.

Different cultures recognize themselves with a given day, week, or month.  As Christians, we are called to worship and praise God for 365 days a year.

Voices of Silence

Photo by Khoa Vu00f5 on Pexels.com

Perpetual silence

Earthly life settles down

Thoughts taking vacation

Voices waiting to come around

Quietness tries to speak

Time scatters every voice

Silence wanders alone

Hours bringing little to rejoice

Another day, same drill

Silence opts to remain

Emptiness boarded up

Absent voices filling with pain

Fear overwhelms each voice

Better to retreat now

Silence covers landscape

Boldly taking one final bow

Silence can never win

Voices bring truth to share

Precious to hear each one

Freedom’s spirit removes despair

Victor Hugo Quotes

There is nothing like a dream to create the future.

Music expresses that which cannot be said on which it is impossible to be silent.

Victor Hugo (1802-1885) was a French writer and politician.  His literary career spanned over 60 years, and his works are considered some of the greatest of any French writer.
