His army

Receiving Spirit’s timeless grace
Faith
Calling
His Son
Jesus rising above
Walking upon heaven’s waters
Redemption
From Matthew 5:6: “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
Just as Jesus teaches
Praying to Father above
Asking in humbleness
Relationship filled with love
Blessed are those who hunger
Seeking truth’s fulfilling hope
Thirsting for righteousness
Father tightens up faith’s rope
Patience shall be required
Waiting for Father’s reply
Following Spirit’s light
View from eagle’s wings on high
Perseverance in prayer
Knocking on heavenly door
Searching for life’s answers
Father fills faith’s inner core
From Luke 11:9-10: “So I say to you, Ask, and it will be given to you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you. For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Someone in despair
Extending bright light of grace—
Hope fills one more heart
Lost in valley’s depths
Healing’s descending courage—
Quiet peace surrounds
Life’s roller coaster
Leaving peril’s ups and downs—
Straightened and smooth
Sower scattering any seed
Wildly without any foresight
God scatters His Word as planned
His aim, truthful in its flight
Called to sow His righteous seeds
Following a living light
Sharing of God’s Holy Word
Walking in Jesus’ delight
These efforts shall bear His fruit
Quenching the rich, fertile ground
God adds the living water
Patient, His trust to be found
Not every seed shall bloom now
Some will lie quiet and wait
Just as a pine cone pauses
Holds seeds for their proper fate
Spreading God’s Word to others
Using our freedom for good
Allowing Spirit to work
Sowing for Him as we should
Sharing love and forgiveness
Lord’s eternal Word aligned
Taking blessed, scattered seeds
Harvesting fruit of all kinds
From Isaiah 55:10-11: “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return there until they have watered the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and succeed in the thing for which I sent it.”

Born before light breathes
God’s master blueprint
Only darkness exists
Waiting, His Son’s footprint
Sin breathes at Eden
Perfect light shattered
Tomorrow’s harsh darkness
Righteousness now scattered
From garden’s shadows
Bloody cross awaits
Savior’s light journeys on
From heaven’s open gate
God’s people wander
Darkness covers world
Divine plan’s fulfillment
Messiah’s light unfurled
Light moves against sin
Nailed to rugged tree
Every transgression paid
Saving grace sets man free
From Isaiah 53:10: “Yet it was the will of the Lord to crush him with affliction. When you make his life an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring and shall prolong his days; through him the will of the Lord shall prosper.”

This series of poems (written in the German-inspired style of Elfchen or Elevenie) shares a total of eleven words in each poem, with a sequence by line of one, two, three, four, and one words.
The photos shown with this poem come from my private collection. They desire to complement each stanza with nature’s voice.
Toes filled with white beach sand
Eastern horizon brightens
Morning’s sunrise glowing
Feeling life’s burdens lighten
Face stings with winter’s cold
Mountain ski run offers thrills
Freshest powder waiting
Energy flowing downhill
Sunset viewed from front porch
Peace adds footnote to this day
Tomorrow always dreams
Thoughts sketching blessed essay
Morning’s wilderness lake
Fisherman’s heart set to cast
Man and nature as one
Sunrise ascends to full mast
Moments with nature’s voice
Thankful for each treasured gift
Every day welcomes home
Spirit no longer adrift
From John 4:23-24: “But the hour is coming and is now here when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
Wilderness travels
Darkness trembles, taking flight
Father always with thee
Witnessing Savior’s light
Mayhem’s daily noise
Stepping away, seeking peace
Father delivers truth
Savior transforms faith’s lease
Hope flowing with joy
Aligning with Spirit’s heart
Father’s eternal love
Savior’s breath brings fresh start
Cross proclaims mercy
Paying for every debt owed
Father’s unselfish grace
His love paves Savior’s road
Righteousness feeds faith
Bearing Spirit’s timely fruits
From Father’s blessed vine
Savior nurtures each root
From John 15:7-8: “If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become My disciples.”
Bluest sky above
Covering landscape with peace—
Creator at work
Morning’s stillness breathes
Feeling treasured, beating heart—
Spirit never rests
Each final shadow
Comforting Father’s presence—
Sunset invites rest

Waking up each morning, right on time
My alarm clock allows this day to climb
Feeling happiness—this life now rhymes
Driving to work in a brand new set of wheels
With low monthly payments, my wallet squeals
Feeling joy—kicking up these dancing heels
Returning from work, this day’s in the books
Satisfied with how that hefty, new raise looks
Feeling elation—inviting a new life’s chinook
Opening up the fridge, filled with favorite delights
Dinner tonight, taking taste buds to new heights
Feeling serenity—life marches in bright lights
Opening the mail one quiet afternoon
My love’s note makes this heart swoon
Feeling peace—love takes us to the moon
Looking forward to seeing her this weekend
Her love will always be a blessed godsend
Feeling humility—life no longer at loose ends
This incredible life now follows a new game plan
Sailing calm waters aboard life’s catamaran
No longer will I ever feel like a desperate man
