Hearing Angelic Cheers

From Romans 5:8-9:  “But God proves His love for us in that while we still were sinners Christ died for us.  Much more surely, therefore, since we have now been justified by His blood, will we be saved through Him from the wrath of God.”

From John 14:27-28:  “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you.  I do not give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.  You heard Me say to you, ‘I am going away, and I am coming to you.’  If you loved Me, you would rejoice that I am going to the Father, because the Father is greater than I.”

Eternity’s Home

From John 14:2-3:  “In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places.  If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also.”

Beauty captivating

Home of joyful healing

Heaven’s firm foundation

Father’s masterful plan

Peaceful destination

Father lives in Jesus

Son of God lights His way

Heaven never shaken

Sin no longer finds prey

From Revelation 22:1-2:  “Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb through the middle of the street of the city.  On either side of the river is the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, producing its fruit each month, and the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.”

Blessings of Assurance

From 1 Timothy 2:3-4:  “This is right and acceptable before God our Savior, who desires everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”

From Romans 10:9-10:  “Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For one believes with the heart, leading to righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, leading to salvation.”

Greatest Gift

From John 3:16-17:  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life.  Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through Him.”

Imagine receiving one gift

But, never accepting its love

Forsaking Father’s lasting grace

Angels witness all from above

This precious gift brings lasting peace

Why would God’s love remain unwrapped?

Sin continues weaving darkness

Triggering mankind to feel trapped

Spirit moves into heart’s fabric

Cosmic collision stirs within

Christ stepping into this dark breach

Divine love snaps sin’s frail linchpin

For God so loved this fallen world

His Holy Son pays for sin’s debts

Unlocking eternity’s gate

Christ’s mercy saves, without regrets

Now embracing and accepting

Father’s loving gift now received

Trusting in Savior’s greatest gift

Forgiveness, all who believe

From the words of American pastor and Christian teacher, Charles Stanley:  “The greatest gift ever given was the sacrifice of Jesus, and all we must do is accept this free gift in joy forever with Him.”

Life’s Balance

From 2 Corinthians 4:8-10:  “We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be made visible in our bodies.”

Life’s balance totters back and forth

Living one moment as sinners

Other moments walking as saints

Hope springs forth from living Jesus

Just as Jesus Christ has risen

We shall be raised with our Savior

By accepting and loving Him

Eternity calls believers

Resurrection unlocks promise

God’s love shouts from criminal’s cross

Jesus conquers both sin and death

Taking our place, erasing debts

Spirit allows life to grasp hope

Our outer selves wasting away

Inner selves renewed with each day

Eyes cannot see, yet trust in faith

Mercy runs deeper than water

Living Water with purity

Believe in Christ, Lord and Savior

Leading with grace to our Father

From 2 Corinthians 5:1:  “For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.”

Reaching a healthy old age is a laudable goal, but nothing is more meaningful than receiving the Savior and the gift of eternity in His presence.

From 1 John 5:11-12:  “And this is the testimony:  God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Jonathan Edwards Quote

Lord, stamp eternity on my eyeballs.

From Romans 5:21:  “So that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
