Learning fills each tomorrow—
Venturing forward

Revealing
Day’s epiphany
Outside one’s kitchen window—
Another clue waits

Words
Preparing to share
Crafting yet another verse—
Soul opening up

When a poet steps back and turns his verses into a mirror’s reflection, he desires to keep searching for himself.

Without leaps of imagination or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities.
Once we give up searching for approval, we often find it easier to earn respect.
Gloria Steinem (born 1934) is an American journalist, speaker, and political activist. Much of her life’s work has revolved around the equality and rights of women.
From Romans 12:11: “Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.”

Offering our bodies to our Father
As a living sacrifice to the Lord
Forever transformed, through His renewal
Bringing new life, by God’s sacred accord
Accepting God’s will with sober recourse
Remaining faithful, God living with us
His Word, always cleanses our sinful ways
With God’s plan, a Holy and perfect plus
God’s love is genuine, filled with His grace
Stepping forward, stoked with spirited zeal
Remaining steadfast, to all which is good
Serving God, escaping heavy ordeals
Steering ourselves, with total discipline
According to God’s proud expectations
Living and serving His Holy Kingdom
Avoiding the Enemy’s temptations
Remaining patient, despite life’s trials
Providing His strength, God leading us all
Walking in faith, taking the Lord’s high road
Living peacefully, following His call

One of God’s ultimate purposes is to mold and transform us into a source of grace for others to witness.

Be a mirror for Jesus.
From James 1:23-25: “For if any are hearers of the word and not doers, they are like those who look at themselves in a mirror; for they look at themselves and, on going away, immediately forget what they were like. But those who look into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and persevere, being not hearers who forget but doers who act—they will be blessed in their doing.”
From Psalm 34:6: “This poor soul cried and was heard by the Lord and was saved from every trouble.”

Desiring smoother path
Journey faces pitfalls
Stressful days wait ahead
Darkness erecting walls
Showing what’s possible
Spirit lights Father’s way
Humbly see and follow
Walls crumble, new causeway
Turning toward Father
Life surrendered to Him
Troubled times diminished
Days no longer as grim
Tasting acts of goodness
Challenges overcome
Father’s peace now descends
Doubts reduced to breadcrumbs
Walking in Father’s love
Mercy remains steadfast
Every promise trusted
Faith transformed, hope recast

From Psalm 34:19: “Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescues them from them all.”

Without life’s challenges, the sweet taste of accomplishment would be absent in our lives.

The next time you’re disappointed, don’t panic and don’t give up. Just be patient and let God remind you He’s still in control.
From Luke 8:15: “But as for that in the good soil, these are the ones who, when they hear the word, hold it fast in an honest and good heart and bear fruit with endurance.“

Cloudless, morning sky lifting up her shade
Brilliant, yet subtle light cascading down
Generations of peace-filled accolades
Navigating each successful splashdown
Gentle breeze descends with expectant glance
Endlessly sharing her breath every hour
Invitations accepted for each dance
Feeling softness caressing each flower
Moisture gathers along distant skyline
Whisper of rain’s scent filling every space
Better than sweetest aroma of wine
Offering something precious to embrace
Lowering her shade at sunset each night
Dreaming of sunrise’s wakening light

This poem has been crafted as a traditional sonnet with 14 verses, each containing 10 syllables. An intricate rhyming scheme is followed in each stanza with every other verse.
