Abundance of Hope

For all who thirst

Come to blessed waters

Now follow carefully

Every son and daughter

Listen with care

Abundance of hope waits

Covenant’s faithful love

Key found to Heaven’s gate

Witness David

Leadership born in him

All for Father’s glory

Faith’s light shall never dim

Truth from Heaven

Look toward Savior’s grace

No longer forsaken

Trust brings us to His place

Return to God

Leave each unrighteous thought

Sin’s indictment erased

Messiah’s blood has bought

Embrace His way

Mercy looks upon earth

Thorns transformed into blooms

Anchored at Spirit’s berth

Nelson Henderson Quote

The true meaning of life is to plant trees under whose shade you do not expect to sit.

From Romans 8:24-25:  “For in hope we were saved.  Now hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes for what one already sees?  But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”

Nelson Henderson (1865-1943) was a Canadian-born, second-generation farmer.

Monday Memories: Redeeming Spirit

From Isaiah 12:2:  “Surely God is my salvation; I will trust, and will not be afraid, for the Lord God is my strength and my might; He has become my salvation.”

To a world filling with harsh darkness

Our Heavenly Father wakens trust

God’s love conquers, crushing this starkness

Sending our Redeemer, always just

Jesus, the Messiah, walks the land

His Spirit deepens our mind and soul

We experience God, close at hand

Blood shed on a Cross, paying our toll

With every footprint Jesus makes

Walking forward, His bright light beckons

We follow with faith, make no mistake

Through our adversity, faith checks in

Enemy lurks, bringing temptation

Walking with Jesus, freed like a bird

In alignment with Him . . . Salvation!

Faithful “doers” of God’s Holy Word

From Psalm 3:3-4:  “But you, O Lord are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.  I cry aloud to the Lord, and He answers me from His Holy hill.”

Samuel Rutherford Quote

You shall be faith sustain yourself and comfort yourself in your Lord, and be strong in His power.

From Proverbs 3:3-4:  “Do not let loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.  Then you will find favor and high regard in the sight of God and of people.”

Samuel Rutherford (1600-1661) was a Scottish pastor and Christian theologian.

All Rejoice

From Mark 5:27-29:  “She had heard about Jesus and came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His cloak, for she said, ‘If I but touch His cloak, I will be made well.’  Immediately her flow of blood stopped, and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.”

Charles Swindoll Quote

Pride, fear, resentment, and habit are all tough evidences of the flesh.  But those who are being shaped into the image of Christ do not go the way of the flesh.

From 1 Timothy 4:7-8:  “Train yourself in godliness, for, while physical training is of some value, godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.”
