Shirley Dobson Quote

As we join together in prayer, we draw on God’s enabling might in a way, that multiplies our own efforts many times over.

From Isaiah 40:31:  “But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”

Shirley Dobson is an American Christian writer and speaker.  She is the wife of American Christian author and psychologist, James Dobson.  For 25 years, she chaired the task force of the National Day of Prayer.

Faith Coming Alive

From John 11:25-26:  “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life.  Those who believe in Me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?'”

Overwhelming with darkness

Tomorrow’s vision unseen

Out of life’s impossible

Wondering what faith will mean

Calvary’s light beams ahead

Today offers blessed place

Possible waiting in view

Powering toward Christ’s grace

Prince of Peace offers his hand

Hour of hope at last arrives

Redemption shall be fulfilled

Seeing faith coming alive

Bitter sorrow fades away

In Christ, mercy filled with love

Answers to prayer’s journey

Touching Spirit high above

From John 10:9-10:  “I am the gate.  Whoever enters by Me will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.  I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

As sure as God puts His children in the furnace, He will be in the furnace with them.

From 1 Corinthians 1:9:  “God is faithful, by whom you were called into the partnership of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Charles Spurgeon (1834-1892) was an influential English preacher.  Even in modern times, his writings and many sermons have remained a constant source of encouragement to Christians around the world.  He has often be referred to as the “Prince of Preachers.”

David Jeremiah Quote

Don’t let obstacles along the road to eternity shake your confidence in God’s promises.  The Holy Spirit is God’s seal that you will arrive.

From Ephesians 4:30:  “And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which you were marked with a seal for the day of redemption.”

David Jeremiah (born 1941) is an American pastor and Christian author.
