God’s eternal love seeks
Intimate relationships
No longer standing back
Feeling love as He speaks
Our Lord loves each of us
Stepping forward with faith
Accepting His sincere truth
Our God, never to mistrust
When darker times arrive
Opening hearts to our Lord
Never to feel forsaken
Trusting, abiding, alive
Our Father always cares
Hearing faithful prayers
Watching trusting steps
Feeling moments of despair
Flowing from Heaven above
To a stable’s manger
Witnessing from a cruel Cross
God’s Grace delivers His love

From John 15:8-9: “My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become My disciples. As the Father has loved Me, so I have loved you; abide in My love.

Seeking hope through faith
But, love must come first
“Love one another”
Now, empty hearts burst
God represents love
A most precious gift
Follow His commands
Love provides a lift
Distribute our love
Family, friends, strangers
Follow Christ’s accord
Makes a life changer
Sowing seeds of love
Jesus brings blessings
Daily nurturing
Keeps love from guessing
Treasure love from Christ
Love blossoms into more
Faithfulness growing
Raising lives to soar
Loving our Savior
His blood stains a Cross
Bringing Salvation
To earth, dark and lost
This most cherished gift
By God’s Grace given
Sisters and brothers
Being forgiven
Holy Commandments
Obeying with love
Loving our neighbors
Pleasing Christ, high above
From Matthew 22:36-40: “Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest? He said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord our God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the greatest and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbors as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

From Galatians 1:15-16: “But when God, who has set me apart before I was born and called me through His grace, was pleased to reveal His Son to me, so that I might proclaim Him among the Gentiles.”

Life will sometimes serve us trials
God asking for some elbow room
Always leaving room for the Lord
Delivering light over our gloom
Never be surprised when God comes
At His choosing, His will descends
Always leaving room for the Lord
His Spirit pays real dividends
Looking out for God’s faithful love
Expecting Him to come close by
Always leaving room for the Lord
Never certain of how, when, why
Following God’s Holy commands
He stands at center of our selves
Always leaving room for the Lord
Transforming lives, from cluttered shelves
Just as Jesus stuns vengeful Saul
On a darkened Damascus road
Always leaving room for the Lord
Knowing our way, will just implode
Any given time, God breaks in
He blesses us with His surprise
Always leaving room for the Lord
Following His plan, always wise

From Scottish evangelist and Christian teacher, Oswald Chambers: “Always be in a state of expectancy, and see that you leave room for God to come in as He likes.”
From 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 13: “Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love.”

Struggling with life, feeling lost
Dark wilderness all around
Thirsting for someone to come
Waiting, hoping to be found
Love arrives from a white knight
Riding through the timberland
Accepting me as I am
Reaching out, touching my hand
Hearing my cries, God provides
This honorable knight stands
Sealing my heart with his love
Hour glass fills with precious sand
Life can feel like a desert
Leaving only loneliness
Faithful light comes to delight
Shining from God’s holiness
Two lives shall become just one
Uniting through a Holy Lord
Happiness now fills a home
Love singing a blissful chord

From Hebrews 12:1-2: “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings to closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God.”

God’s footprints, visible for eternity
Filling our hearts with His joy, perfectly
Our Lord’s joy remains forever man’s strength
Overcoming the wicked, godless and fleeting
When distressed, our Lord brings answers
Sadness and worry turn to joy, never retreating
Through God, He restores the joy of Salvation
The Lord’s highway steers us on His Holy Way
Justice arrives, bringing joy to the righteous
For God’s Word, keeping all from going astray
Joy is a choice, feeling our Lord’s countenance
When tackling life’s endless, inevitable trials
Consider every one of them, nothing but joy
Walking with God, feeling joy with every mile
Faith produces endurance for God’s community
Endurance leads to maturity from God’s hand
Maturity through God, brings lasting, final joy
Trusting God’s Holy Word all across this land
God’s Kingdom delivers righteousness and peace
Through the Holy Spirit, souls experience joy
Clapping hands, singing praise to our Holy Lord
Redeemed man walks, filled with gladness and joy
Prophets foretell of the coming of a new King
Our Messiah’s birth brings magnificent joy
Joy later shattered on a bitter, bloody Cross
Only to defeat death, with Resurrection’s joy
Living as part of God’s redeemed, feeling His joy
Fruits of the Spirit sharing love, peace, and joy

From 1 Peter 5:6-7: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you in due time. Cast all our anxiety oh Him, because He cares for you.”
God, our Creator
In Heaven above
Standing powerful
Sends infinite love
Father in Heaven
Promises fulfill
Support and courage
His infinite skill
Read God’s Holy Word
Be bold, life begins
His love filled with care
Grace overcomes sin
Walking with our Lord
His strong hands extend
Trust always in Him
Whatever contends
Miraculous brings
Infinite outcomes
Filled with sacred love
Like a beating drum
Our finite minds weep
Lack of faith descends
Our infinite God
Holds, never to bend
Our Lord’s specialty
Impossible makes
Genuine and true
His love, no mistake
Rely on God’s ways
Hopeless turns to hope
Prayer lifts worry
Walking life’s tightrope
God’s eternal love
Endures forever
He holds on to us
With faith, whenever

Blessed sun rises, starting a new day
A precious day, under Lord’s watchful eyes
Celebrate this day, riding in love’s sleigh
Nothing ever holding back, watching doves fly
Singing of praises, blessing this fresh start
Jesus walking with us, our daily bread
Sharing this day, between loving sweethearts
Together, God’s Word keeps us full and fed
Our love sparks an endless celebration
God’s love filling hearts, fulfilling our fate
Singing songs, with love and adoration
Celebrate this day, love’s delightful taste
Jesus shares His joy, smiling from above
Making our joy complete, filling with love

The words of this poem are inspired from some of my prayers for family, friends, and acquaintances here on WordPress. Being a prayer warrior is an important element of my faith and witness.

From Psalm 86:5-6: “For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; listen to my cry of supplication.
Praying for others through God’s love . . .
Praying with patience and care
Asking God with nothing to spare
Witnessing son’s lasting love for his Dad
Time spent together, making both glad
Bringing empathy and care to a young boy
Cancer rages, but medical staff deploys
Waiting for prodigal children to return
Inviting God, His lessons will be learned
Watching a lost mother, now showing love
Children feeling God’s mercy, from above
Allowing time to heal a brother’s relationship
Now picking up the phone, full of friendship
Battling health problems for years and years
Faithfulness and hope carry on, without fear
Nurturing a relationship, despite great distance
Love flourishes, with God’s constant assistance
Finding life no longer survives through a bottle
Weekly AA meetings turn up a man’s throttle
Moving to a new city, with its new demands
New job arrives, life settles in God’s hands
Feeling empty loneliness, each and every day
Woman discovers love, with so much to say
Revealing unconditional love toward a spouse
Love carries on, refilling this blessed house
Sacrificing His Son for our sinful ways
God offers Jesus, with Salvation today
Praying for others through God’s love . . .

If you want to make an impact on the world around you, this rugged society that is moving in the wrong direction more rapidly every year, Christ said, “love one another.” Your love will speak with stunning eloquence to a lost world.
From John 13:35: “[Jesus said] By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
