There are a hundred paths through the world that are easier than loving. But wants easier?
Keep some room in your heart for the unimaginable.
Mary Oliver (1935-2019) was a best-selling American poet, who received many honors for her work. Her love of nature can be found in much of her writing, and it resulted in honors from the National Book Award in 1992 and Pulitzer Prize in 1984.
It is by loving and not by being loved that one can come nearest to the soul of another.
There is no harm in being afraid. The only harm is in doing what fear tells you. Fear is not your master! Laugh in his face and he will run away.
George MacDonald (1824-1905) was a Scottish author, poet, and Christian minister. His writings covered a variety of literary themes from fantasy to theological. He was also a mentor for writer Lewis Carroll.

The two most important tools of parenting are time and touch. Listen to your boys and girls, look them in the eye, put your arms around them, hug them close, tell them how valuable they are.

From 1 Peter 2:1-3: “Rid yourselves, therefore, of all malice, and all guile, insincerity, envy, and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation—if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.”
Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
