In a world consumed with thoughts of itself, filled with people impressed with each other, having disconnected with the only One worthy of praise, it’s time we return to Theology 101 and sit silently in His presence.

Another day
One more trial
Kneeling to pray
With God each mile
His way shines bright
Patience fills hope
Holding on tight
God’s faithful rope
Love conquers all
Wicked step back
Hearing His call
God’s steady tack
Temptation folds
Righteousness saves

From Psalm 37:39-40: “The salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their refuge in the time of trouble. The Lord helps them and rescues them; He rescues them from the wicked and saves them because they take refuge in Him.”
The Grace of God is sufficient for all our needs, for every problem and for every difficulty, for every broken heart, and for every human sorrow.

Waking up each morning
Running to look outside
Father’s world always waits
His purpose never hides
Listening, nature sings
Filling creation’s peace

His Word forever rings
This poem was influenced by the beloved hymn, “This is My Father’s World.” Inspired by the scenery of upper state New York’s Lake Ontario and Niagara Falls, American pastor and Christian writer, Maltbie D. Babcock, wrote a poem. Following his death, his wife published the poem which later became the lyrics for this well-known hymn.
As never before in this generation, we realize that we are dependent upon God for protection and strength. Our resolve is firm because our refuge is based on the eternal foundation of the living God.

Receiving peace, covering far and near
Generating from God’s genuine love
Peace be within us, God blesses our souls
Through His Word, accepting grace from above
Tranquility resting, among God’s flock
Lord forever standing, with heaven’s peace
Surpassing all of our understanding
Jesus lives, delivering life’s new lease
Rely on Christ, seeking His inner peace
Through our Savior, nurturing hearts and minds
In faithfulness, accepting Him as Lord
Teach us to follow, salvation we find
Living Holy Spirit, guided by God
Transforming love, joy, peace—granted from God
Within a matter of hours night will fall, the dark sky will glitter with moon and stars, and sleep will force itself upon us. Life will continue on uninterrupted. Appreciated or not, the canvas of nature will go on being painted by the fingers of God.

Daily news fills with darkness
Wilderness, eternal home
Future forever empty
Trials continue to roam
Standing alone, Father speaks
Hearing His goodness in Word
Building life’s new foundation
Walking to His light’s watchword
Steps marching with assurance
Trust in Father grows each day
Hope strengthened in His mercy
Steadfast love charting faith’s way
Receiving this gift of faith
Praising Father’s divine lease
Fulfilling every promise
Inheriting grace-filled peace
