There’s a unique sense of fulfillment that comes when we submit our gifts to God’s use and ask Him to energize them in a supernatural way–and then step back to watch what He does.
From 1 Timothy 4:14: “Do not neglect the gift that is in you.”
Lee Strobel (born 1952) is an American Christian author. Before accepting Jesus Christ, his former life revolved around investigative journalism.

This is where I have been for some time. I know a gift I have but lack the opportunity to utilize it. I am asking God to open my heart and mind. He gave this to me for a reason and not to be buried til his return. I don’t want to be thrown where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth. I need him to open doors, or open my mind creatively to see what I can do to begin to implement the gift usage in a new way.

Kate, thanks for sharing these words. I never saw myself as a writer during my teaching career. The Lord opened this door when I retired from the classroom. He will continue to lead and encourage you as well.
