Attitude and the spirit in which we communicate are as important as the words we say.
From Proverbs 16:24: “Pleasant words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”

Harmony drops in
Lifting spirits high
Waking from slumber
Morning’s bluest sky
Valley’s faithful river
Unending with peace
Flowing with wisdom
Comforts never cease
Sun brightens flashbacks
Counting former days
Energizing with joy
Ready now to play
Time injects stillness
Billowing with clouds
Yielding blessed shade
Whispers never loud
Heaven’s love singing
Blessing life below
Extending day’s light
Nature now aglow

Gray, overcast skies
Precious rain descends
Morning’s gentle spirit
Welcome back dear friend
Time’s hands standing still
Serenity shares
Fine mist of heaven’s grace
View from kitchen chair
Songbirds’ harmony
Nearby thicket sings
Always perfect pitch
Soft feather’s bowstring
Everlasting gift
Calm shower transcends
Sweetness cascading down
Thank you dearest friend
Grateful for this day
Filled with freshest hope
Morning calls, “Come again”
Now, down periscope

Tranquility’s place
Discovery fulfills wait—
Searching each season

Mountains to valleys
Windy voice gathers to speak—
Breath of the Spirit

Mysteries hiding
Nightly slumber awakens—
Sunrise uncovers

When I think of God, my heart is so full of joy that the notes leap and dance as they leave my pen; and since God has given me a cheerful heart, I serve Him with a cheerful spirit.
From Proverbs 15:15: All the days of the poor are hard, but a cheerful heart has a continual feast.”
Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) was an Austrian composer. Some of his most instrumental achievements dealt with the development of chamber music (both string quartet and piano trio).

Life’s faithful river
Always flowing free
Spirit awakened
Jesus walks with thee
Light covers darkness
Faithful source of hope
Spirit awakened
Jesus tames each slope
Quiet place welcomes
Prayers nurture peace
Spirit awakened
Jesus holds life’s lease
Resurrection breathes
Eternity’s grace
Spirit awakened
Jesus leaves His trace
Destiny fulfilled
Journey now complete
Spirit awakened
Jesus offers seat

If the pace and the push, the noise and the crowds are getting to you, it’s time to stop the nonsense and find a place of solace to refresh your spirit. The good news is God will hear and He will help.
From Psalm 42:1: “As a deer longs for flowing streams, so my soul longs for you, O God.”

Perpetual silence
Earthly life settles down
Thoughts taking vacation
Voices waiting to come around
Quietness tries to speak
Time scatters every voice
Silence wanders alone
Hours bringing little to rejoice
Another day, same drill
Silence opts to remain
Emptiness boarded up
Absent voices filling with pain
Fear overwhelms each voice
Better to retreat now
Silence covers landscape
Boldly taking one final bow
Silence can never win
Voices bring truth to share
Precious to hear each one
Freedom’s spirit removes despair

He who becomes a brother to the bruised, a doctor to the despairing, and a comforter to the crushed may not actually say much. What he has to offer is often beyond the power of speech to convey. But, the weary sense it, and it is a balm of Gilead to their souls.
From 1 Peter 3:8: “Finally, all of you, have unity of spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind.”
From 1 Corinthians 2:4-5: “My speech and my proclamation were not with plausible words of wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom but on the power of God.”

World full of deception
Most lack understanding
Man lives with blind spirit
God’s Word seeks soft landing
Father’s knowledge revealed
Prepared with divine love
Shared through Holy Spirit
From heaven’s depths above
Man’s spirit lacks vision
Missing truth of God’s Word
Pride hinders man’s access
Spirit’s teachings transferred
Filling man’s hungry mind
Scripture’s truth, Spirit brings
Living in mind of Christ
God’s wisdom always clings

From 1 Corinthians 2:12-13: “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the gifts bestowed on us by God. And we speak of these things in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to those who are spiritual.”
