Journey’s Protector

From 1 Corinthians 15:56-58:  “The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.  But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, my beloved brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord because you know that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”

William Wilberforce Quote

Photo by Jan van der Wolf on Pexels.com

True Christians consider themselves not as satisfying some rigorous creditor, but as discharging a debt of gratitude.

Colossians 2:13-14:  “And when you were dead in trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive together with Him, when He forgave us all our trespasses, erasing the record that stood against us with its legal demands.  He set this aside, nailing it to the cross.”

William Wilberforce (1759-1833) was a member of the British Parliament.  He became a major figure in the movement to abolish the slave trade and slavery itself in the British Empire.

Forever, King of Kings

From Luke 2:8-11:  “Now in that same region there were shepherds living in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night.  Then an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.  But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid, for see, I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is the Messiah, the Lord.'”

Rising Faith

From Colossians 3:1-2:  “So if you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth.”
