From Lamentations 3:25-26:  “The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul that seeks Him.  It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

Jesus Christ is in the Sight-Restoring Business.

From Isaiah 42:6-7:  “I am the Lord; I have called you in righteousness; I have taken you by the hand and kept you; I have given you as a covenant to the people, a light to the nations.”

David Jeremiah (born 1941) is an American pastor and Christian author.

Forgiving Light

From John 3:16-17:  “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him may not perish but may have eternal life.  Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world but in order that the world might be saved through Him.”

From John 3:19-21:  “And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil.  For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed.  But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.”

Breath of Repentance

From Joel 2:1:  “Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on My holy mountain!  Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming, it is near.”

Living in shadows of darkness

Lost in depths of hope’s despair

Looking upward to heavens

Light gathers from daily prayer

Hearing call of Zion’s trumpet

Trust found on wilderness road

Returning to walk with Christ

Heart gathers His grace to reload

Following hope-filled voice of Christ

Faith’s gathered army of One

Witnessing forgiving light

Darkness flees before Father’s Son

Gathering to witness mercy

Truth received from Christ’s own hands

Abounding with steadfast love

Peace nourishes each grain of sand

Raising hope’s breath of repentance

Calvary’s transforming night

Pouring from Spirit’s waters

Christ returning with gathered light

Redemption’s Lasting Prize

From Isaiah 9:2:  “The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light; those who lived in a land of deep darkness—on them light has shined.”

Outlook’s scarred landscape

Uncertainty’s shadows

Pervading, cold darkness

Hope’s final ember glows

Peace overpowered

Gloom of night never leaves

Witnessing life’s heartbreaks

Another day must grieve

Despair comes ashore

Empty vessel of grace

Asking, where has light gone?

Hope discovers its place

Each burden gathered

Sunrise at last arrives

Breaking oppressor’s rod

Messiah’s love alive

Resurrection breathes

Savior’s mercy shall rise

Sharing heavenly view

Redemption’s lasting prize

When shall we ever meet?

Longing to meet my Lord

His lamp, lighting the way

Filled with love, now on board

Enchained by sin’s shackles

From Luke 24:50-53:  “Then He led them out as far as Bethany, and, lifting up His hands, He blessed them.  While He was blessing them, He withdrew from them and was carried up into heaven.  And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy; and they were continually in the temple blessing God.”
