Born on a cloudless, starry night
No rooms available at the inn
A feed box becomes His bed
Holy Spirit brings forth this child
Virgin Mary becomes His loving mother
Humble beginning for Christ the King
Nation of Israel burdened by hopelessness
Oppressed under cruel, harsh Roman rule
Waiting for their God fulfilling Messiah
Little do the people really know
God has arrived in their midst
Bringing a way to eternal Salvation
Who is this man from Galilee?
Mary and Joseph care for Immanuel
Angels of God watch over all
Providing wise counsel through Joseph’s dream
Sending the family to Egypt’s safety
Avoiding Herod’s bloody and inhumane wrath
Fulfilling Scripture, God calls His Son
Returning home from the Egyptian lands
A dutiful boy becomes a Nazarene
Learning the worthy trade of carpentry
At twelve, He visits Jerusalem’s temple
Amazing all with His Godly perspectives
Spending time in His Father’s House
Who is this man from Galilee?
Baptized by John at the Jordan
Spending forty days and nights alone
Tempted by the evil one’s craftiness
Facing temptations like any of us
Overcoming and banishing each of them
Materialism, hedonism, and egoism mean nothing
This Nazarene man moves to Galilee
Beginning His ministry with a purpose
Calling out to twelve imperfect men
Take up your cross, follow Me!
God’s Word becomes bread of life
Disciples now fish for lost people
Who is this man from Galilee?
Reaching out to forsaken, sinful people
Performing miracles, left and then right
Preaching the Sermon on the Mount
Turning simple water into wedding wine
Healing the sick and the lame
All signs of His glory with God
Feeding the 5,000 seems truly impossible
Walking on water before Peter’s eyes
Few can imagine His ultimate fate
Eyes and ears closed and unaware
This man called Jesus brings light
On Resurrection Day, fulfilling God’s promise
The world now knows Jesus Christ!

Stumble, now falling
Mankind blind and lost
Grace always calling
Spirit picks us up
Reach for Father’s hand
Love fills empty cup
Vision clears as planned
Ask God our questions
Read Bible’s story
Taste Scripture’s account
Witness His glory
Lift eyes up high
Breathe in heaven’s love
God’s promises fly
Goodness from above
Wait for our Father
Hold tight to faith’s hand
His hope comes on board
Salvation’s steel band
All whom God uses greatly are first hidden in the secret of His presence, away from the pride of man.
From Psalm 27:14: “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!”

Glories of God’s law
Beholding
Darkness
Surrounding thee
Facing tumultuous waters
God never stops helping
Sustaining
Reading, studying, and applying the Word may require sacrifices, but the reward of knowing your Savior better and living a life pleasing to God is worth it.
From Psalm 119:33-34: “Teach me, O Lord, the way of your statutes, and I will observe it to the end. Give me understanding, that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.”
From 1 Peter 2:2-3: “Like newborn infants, long for the pure, spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow into salvation—if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.”
Infancy of man’s faith
Absent righteous skills
Fed with Word’s nourishment
Holy Spirit fills
Grappling divine lessons
Bread of Life above
Christ breathes as Living Word
Grace imparts with love
Learning faith’s elements
Son of Man preaches
One parable each time
Our Lord’s Word teaches
Practicing what is learned
Holy design’s growth
Faith in Word progresses
Maturity’s oath
Accepting Word’s goodness
Darkness now ignored
Righteous living obeys
Mercy comes on board
From Hebrews 5:13-14: “For everyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is unskilled in the word of righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, for those whose faculties have been trained by practice to distinguish good from evil.”
God can no more leave a life unchanged than a mother can leave her child’s tears untouched.
From Ephesians 1:17-18: “I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know Him, so that, with the eyes of your heart enlightened, you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance among the saints.”
From 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, 13: “Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. Struggling with life, feeling lost
Dark wilderness all around
Thirsting for someone to come
Waiting, hoping to be found
Love arrives from a white knight
Riding through the timberland
Accepting me as I am
Reaching out, touching my hand
Hearing my cries, God provides
This honorable knight stands
Sealing my heart with his love
Hour glass fills with precious sand
Life can feel like a desert
Leaving only loneliness
Faithful light comes to delight
Shining from God’s holiness
Two lives shall become just one
Uniting through a Holy Lord
Happiness now fills a home
Love singing a blissful chord
