Instead of looking at what’s depressing, look at what’s a blessing.
Spend less time trying to change someone and more time trying to love and understand them.

Instead of looking at what’s depressing, look at what’s a blessing.
Spend less time trying to change someone and more time trying to love and understand them.

Faith is like an empty, open hand stretched out toward God, with nothing to offer and everything to receive.
From Ephesians 3:17-19: “And that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”

A man is in a great place when he has no one to turn to but God.
From Hebrews 9:24: “For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made by human hands, a mere copy of the true one, but He entered into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.”

When you are tempted to take matters into your own hands, remember the Lord’s guidance.
From Isaiah 30:15: “For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.”

When Jesus Christ is the source of our joy, no words can describe it.
From Philippians 4:4-7: “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

The disciples went to sleep when they should have kept awake, and when they realized what they had done it produced despair. Never let the sense of failure corrupt your new action.
From Matthew 26:45-46: “Then He returned to the disciples and said to them, ‘Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!'”

We all yearn for what we have lost. But sometimes, we forget what we have.
Faith is about doing. You are how you act, not just how you believe.

Where parents do too much for their children, the children will not do much for themselves.
Live truth instead of professing it.

When Jesus asks His followers to be like salt, He is reminding us that we are valuable and necessary in bringing out the best–in one another as well as the world–through ordinary acts of service, mercy, love, and humility.
From Mark 9:49-50: “For everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good; but if salt has lost its saltiness, how can you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”

Mount Rushmore National Monument is located in South Dakota’s Black Hills. The sculptured figures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln stand watch.
Behind the cloud the sun is still shining.
This country will not be a good place for any of us to live unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in.
