Life’s blessed pairing

It’s been about 20 years since I stopped drinking coffee. I just stopped for no reason. I don’t even like the fancy whipped cream models. I enjoy an occasional hot chocolate or a cup of tea. Your words make me think about starting to drink coffee again.

Best wishes Kathy wherever your morning experiences take you. As for coffee, I didn’t used to be an active drinker of it. My wife, Colleen, coaxed me to drink coffee with her. Now I have at least two cups every morning. The caffeine seems to better energize my writing each morning. I still remain a black coffee fan, with just a bit of sweetener in it.

The first thing I do in the morning is put on the coffee. Later, when I drive past the long lines at various establishments that are known primarily for coffee drinks, or even plain coffee (and doughnuts), I just shake my head. There are a few things I’d wait in line for, but coffee isn’t one!

Linda, I am right in step with you. “Drive through” doesn’t motivate me at all. Most of my coffee is savored at home or at a coffee shop with my wife and friends.

Indeed! Vickie, your words would be a remarkable remake of the Haiku “Meant to Be.” Thank you for sharing them.

Matt, thanks for sharing back. I’m enjoying my first morning cup at my kitchen table, and I’m prepared to spend some fruitful minutes with God’s Word.
