Joy is a choice. It is a matter of attitude that stems from one’s confidence in God.
From Psalm 16:11: “You show me the path of life. In your presence there is fullness of joy; in your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Nature lives forever
By her Creator’s hand
Nourishing spirit guides
Sunrise greeting each day
Life revolves ‘round her grace
Lighting earthly journey
Gentle winds bring comfort
Music from nature’s band
Breathing with its rhythm
Grassy plains stretching far
Lofty mountains border
Sharing abounding life
Beauty arrives by air
Birds of many colors
Singing nature’s chorus
Majestic trees arise
Redwoods reaching heavens
Scaling fate’s boldest heights
Creator’s view from clouds
Seeing creatures below
Serving nature’s purpose
Rivers ever flowing
Dogged spirit guiding
Reaching each shining sea
God’s time always endures
Creation spawns nature
Breathing, living, endless

What matters most is how well you walk through fire.
If you’re going to try, go all the way. Otherwise, don’t even start.
Charles Bukowski (1920-1994) is a German-American poet, novelist, and short story writer. His prolific writing produced over 45 books of poetry and prose, and much of his writing spoke to the despairing urban conditions of the downtrodden.

Reaching a healthy old age is a laudable goal, but nothing is more meaningful than receiving the Savior and the gift of eternity in His presence.
From 1 John 5:11-12: “And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

Driving fast down time’s hectic road
Passing new sign’s life-changing mode
Hey busy people, “What’s your rush?”
Best to paint life with brand new brush
Slow self down, before passing by
More to life than hello and bye
Coffee’s better with second cup
Take time to really size life up
Spend precious moments, call your friend
Each minute pays big dividends
Look around, lend others your hand
Playing music on life’s bandstand
Time spent with young children at play
Ageless, feeling younger each day
Neighborhood walk with man’s best friend
Rounding out life’s perfect weekend
Share love with your special someone
Lighting rainbows with rising sun
Cruisin’ along life’s peaceful street
No rush now, enjoying each treat

I have no sense of time, and I’m a dreamer.
The reality is, we can change. We can change ourselves. We can change our minds. We can change our hearts. And therefore the universe changes.
From Psalm 118:26: “Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord.”

Rejoice with this new day
God sharing precious love
Blessed Word guides our way
Behold gifts from above
Extend love to others
Family and friends shine
Each sister and brother
Feeling God’s love, divine
Christ sheds blood, out of love
Building faith’s cornerstone
Treasured, caring, proud of
Never feeling alone
Remembering God’s saints
Memories still alive
Cherished thoughts now repaint
Holding tight each archive
Lord is God, brings His light
Giving thanks for His grace
Blessed angels take flight
Precious love shall embrace

From Psalm 118:1: “O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his steadfast love endures forever!”

God is good and all-powerful, caring for each one of us as though the only one in His care.
From 1 John 4:15-16: “God abides in those who confess that Jesus is the Son of God, and they abide in God. So we have known and believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and those who abide in love abide in God, and God abides in them.”
Morning breakfast time
Pancakes searching for sweetness—
Think maple syrup

Ordering three eggs
Scrambled or over easy?
Make it an omelet

Bacon, sausage, ham
Can’t decide, let’s go for it—
Eating the whole hog
