Delicious Memories
Postponed adventures
Rushing to Mother’s kitchen—
Freshly baked cookies

Soothing Presence
Child protests bedtime
“Gonna stay up all night long”
Stardust dreams fly in
Change Anticipated
Springtime approaching
Arriving any day now—
Playfulness rising

I remember picking dewberries near our house as a child. If we picked enough, mom would make a dewberry pie. Blessings for a wonderful day with the Lord! 🌞

I still pick enough dewberries each year for at least one cobbler!

I can’t resist sharing the Robert Louis Stevenson poem your second haiku evoked. As a child, I hated going to bed when the robins still were singing.
