From Romans 5:3-4:  “And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope.”

Relationship challenges

Sin attempts to break apart

Holy Spirit never rests

Love’s flame nurtures pair of hearts

Faithful steps follow Jesus

Light sharing grace every day

Together, praying as one

Love fills tomorrow’s gateway

Father extends helping hand

Darkness replaced with sunrise

Endurance sustains journey

Love eclipses gloomy skies

Marriage healing and growing

Faith’s commitment now restored

Mercy’s lasting promises

Love’s hymn, vows renewing chords

From Romans 5:5:  “And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.”

Josh McDowell Quote

How do you spell love?  When we reach the point where the happiness, security, and development of another person is as much of a driving force to you as your own happiness, security, and development, then you have mature love.  True love is spelled G-I-V-E.

From 1 John 4:7-12:  “Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.  Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.  God’s love was revealed among us in this way:  God sent His only Son into the world so that we might live through Him.  In this is love, not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Beloved, since God loved us so much, we also ought to love one another.  No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us.”

Josh McDowell (born 1939) is an American Christian evangelist and co-author of over 150 books.

Matshona Dhliwayo Quotes

You know someone is truly special when the most beautiful thing they have one is a kind soul.

If you have no one, you are poor; if you have an acquaintance, you are fortunate; if you have a friend, you are privileged; if you have a lover, you are rich; if you have a soulmate, you are wealthy.

Matshona Dhliwayo is a Canadian-based author and philosopher.  Born in Zimbabwe, he shares his unique look at life throughout much of his writing.

Puzzle Incomplete

Trust’s missing pieces

Empty vision’s space

Puzzle incomplete

Father’s grace, replace

Fear’s lack of patience

Filled with anxious space

Puzzle defective

Father’s grace, backspace

Shame’s torn-up pages

Tattered, sinful space

Puzzle uncertain

Father’s grace, erase

Hope’s shattered darkness

Doubts drain daily space

Puzzle fragmented

Father’s grace, embrace

Faith’s empty focus

Lost in prideful space

Puzzle imperfect

Father’s grace, retrace

From Romans 8:27:  “And God, who searches hearts, knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”

Respect was invented to cover the empty place where love should be.

If you look for perfection, you’ll never be content.

Leo (Count Lev Nikolayevich) Tolstoy (1828-1910) was a Russian writer.  Many consider him to be one the world’s greatest authors of all-time.

God calls us to seek Him daily in order to serve Him daily.

Sheila Cragg (born 1938) is an American Christian writer.  Her numerous books share a dynamic faith and witness, and she has served as a mentor for other Christian writers.

Opening Thy Door

Standing outside door

Holy Son of Man

Knocking and waiting

Sharing Father’s grace plan

Conquering darkness

Timeless gift He brings

Coming to serve man

Soaring on eagle’s wings

Hearing now His voice

Sacred, divine love

Calling to repent

Witnessing from above

Opening thy door

Christ boldly walks in

Showing wounded hands

Forgiving every sin

A loving heart is the beginning of knowledge.

The greatest university is a collection of books.

Our Savior loves us perfectly because He’s fully God and fully man–powerful and compassionate.

From Luke 22:69-70:  ‘”But from now on the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.’  All of them asked, ‘Are you, then, the Son of God?’  He said to them, ‘You say that I am.'”
