This series of poems (written in the German-inspired style of Elfchen or Elevenie) shares a total of eleven words in each poem, with a sequence by line of one, two, three, four, and one words.
It doesn’t matter how talented or successful we are by earthly standards, because God’s goal for us is obedience, faithfulness, and Christlike character.
From 1 Corinthians 4:5: “Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive commendation from God.”
From Psalm 85:8: “Let me hear what God the Lord will speak, for He will speak peace to His people, to His faithful, to those who turn to Him in their hearts.”
Another morning arrives
God’s open channel broadcasts
Peaceful encouragement speaks
Always accurate forecasts
Uploading His Holy Word
God’s message brings much to say
Faithfulness with righteousness
Quiet moments praise each day
Grace-filled gifts from Father’s heart
Neither big or small, just right
Peace, joy, and eternal life

From Psalm 85:10-11: “Steadfast love and faithfulness will meet; righteousness and peace will kiss each other. Faithfulness will spring up from the ground, and righteousness will look down from the sky.”
You can’t buy good health at the doctor’s office–you’ve got to earn it for yourself.
From Psalm 62:5-6: “For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken.”
I believe that a simple and unassuming manner of life is best for everyone, best both for the body and the mind.
From Matthew 18:4-5: “Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.”
Facing disappointment for many months and more
Feeling frustration and despair starting to soar
Realizing that this journey needs a mid-course correction
Pointing an unsteady compass in a totally new direction
Tiring from how many others have treated thee in the past
Looking forward to a future that brings happiness at last
Beating up thyself for any past, painful mistakes
Needing renewed courage for a new life to make
Knowing that this life needs a helping hand
Wanting to scan for a nurturing place to land
Reaching out comes the helping hand of thy God
Sending forth His grace to be thy staff and rod
Shielding eyes from brightest sun at a new dawn
Walking forward with energy that’s never gone

The cause of disillusionment is putting one’s complete hope and trust in people. What’s the cure? Putting our complete hope and trust in the living Lord.

Remolding, new creation in Christ
Transforming self, flesh passing away
Turning to Jesus, finding new life
Lighting each path, righteousness holds sway
Restoring heart, Lord always with us
Healing spirit from sin, His way
Accepting grace from Holy Father
Feeling inner faith renewed each day
Walking with trusting faith, not by sight
Deepening Spirit rekindles life
Leaving sin’s guilt on Calvary’s cross
Living under Christ’s watch, without strife
Forsaking darkness, crushing evil
Seeking Jesus, His love walks ahead
Rescuing this life from sin and death
