Our Creator’s Truth

From Psalm 139:13-14:  “For it was you who formed my inward parts; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.  I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.  Wonderful are your works; that I know very well.”

Our Creator’s faith

Undebatable

Delivering life’s hope

Atop each mountain slope

A. W. Tozer Quote

Photo by Veronika Andrews on Pexels.com

In almost everything that teaches our everyday life on earth, God is pleased when we’re pleased.  He wills that we be as free as birds to soar and sing our maker’s praise without anxiety.

From Isaiah 43:1-2:  “But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel:  Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are mine.  When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.

Aiden Wilson (A. W.) Tozer (1897-1963) was an American pastor and Christian author.  He served as spiritual mentor for many Christians.

Grenville Kleiser Quotes

Photo by Tom Fisk on Pexels.com

A great river is not aimless.  It has direction and purpose.  So also must a good life have a definite aim; all its strength and fullness must be turned in one direction.

Be grateful for the joy of life.  Be glad for the privilege of work.  Be thankful for the opportunity to give and serve.

Grenville Kleiser (1968-1935) was an American author.  Many of his writings offered inspiration and guidance for personal development.

Monday Memories: Evening with Family

Photo by Jonathan Petersson on Pexels.com

Sun sets on another day

Evening calls, wanting its way

Family gathers around

Home now, love and peace abound

Night sky envelopes the land

Stillness breathes on high command

Supper cooking, hunger calls

Mom’s spaghetti and meatballs

All hands on deck, helping mom

Frenzy soon returns to calm

Television calling out

Favorite show brings a shout

Mom crochets, sitting nearby

Dad reads book, about Shanghai

Final chores, homework to do

Soon slumber stirs up its brew

Before the last light goes out

Prayers praise God, so devout

Time is such a precious commodity.  With God’s encouragement, may our own use of it bring Him glory.

We are weaving the future on the loom of today.

There are times when encouragement means a lot, and a word is enough to convey it.

Montana Bound

Summertime at Holter Lake outside of Wolf Creek, Montana.

Never-ending vistas

Discovering each keepsake

Nature’s promised grace

Harmony’s singing at daybreak

Majestic mountain peaks

Reaching to heavens above

Fields’ ripening grain

Easy to witness Creator’s love

Highway’s distant crossroads

Welcoming each blessed guest

Town’s main street alive

Hospitality at its best

Heart searches for its peace

Dreaming . . . now Montana bound

As of July 1, Colleen and I are beginning our travels from our home in central Ohio to Montana.  The Big Sky Country is my native state, and we are eager to see family and friends.  We will return in about 15 days.
