To be called children of God means that we earnestly seek His redemption–not just for ourselves but for the whole world.
From Matthew 5:9: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
Hope is nothing else than the expectation of those things which faith has believed to have been truly promised by God.
From Romans 8:24-25: “For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what is seen? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.”
I have found that the closer I am to the godly people around me, the easier it is for me to live a righteous life because they hold me accountable.
From Psalm 1:1-3: “Happy are those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread,or sit in the seat of scoffers; but their delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law they meditate day and night. They are like trees planted by streams of water, which yield their fruit in its season, and their leaves do not wither. In all that they do, they prosper.”
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
A nation that fails to honor its heroes, soon will have no heroes to honor.

Jesus Christ met people where they were . . . not as they “ought to” be. His enemies misunderstood Him, but they couldn’t ignore Him. They hated Him, but were never bored around Him. Jesus was the epitome of relevance. Still is.
From Hebrews 8:10: “This is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put my laws in their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
By sanctification the Son of God is formed in me, then I have to transform my natural life into a spiritual life by obedience to Him.
From 2 Corinthians 7:1: “Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of body and of spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.”
God created marriage. No government subcommittee envisioned it. No social organization developed it. Marriage was conceived and born in the mind of God.
Love is not something you feel. It is something you do.
You be anything you want to be, do anything you set out to accomplish if you hold to that desire with singleness of purpose.
He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.
I’ve never been surprised by God’s judgement, but I’m still stunned by His grace.
From Luke 15:3-7: “So He [Jesus] told them this parable: Which one of you, having a hundred sheep and losing one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one that is lost until he finds it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders and rejoices. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”
