Fruitful Grace

From 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12:  “To this end we always pray for you, asking that our God will make you worthy of His call and will fulfill by His power every good resolve and work of faith, so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Holy shall be Father’s name

His grace praises morning sky

Walking life’s highway with Him

Prayer becomes faith’s reply

Righteousness fills Father’s Word

Fortified with fruitful grace

Embracing mercy’s outreach

Faith follows heavenly pace

Grace bears truth from Father’s light

Savior rises just as planned

Washing away sin’s darkness

Faith’s cornerstone henceforth stands

Love expressed in Father’s faith

Grace bequeathed in His Son’s name

Kneeling at Calvary’s cross

Forgiveness erases shame

Faith cherishes Father’s grace

Love fills hearts of every saint

Bringing glory in His name

Forever bright, never faint

Grace Forever Free

From Lamentations 3:22-24:  “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.  ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in Him.'”

Enemy only brings

Darkness upon thee

Emptiness clings

Again, lost at sea

Trapped in wilderness maze

No escape for thee

Sun’s missing rays

What does Spirit see?

God’s arrow finds its mark

Peace comes upon thee

Redemption’s ark

His Word’s faithful key

Salvation’s open gate

Savior’s love for thee

Mercy’s soulmate

Evil’s breath now flees

Bethlehem’s blessed light

Shineth upon thee

Hope taking flight

Praying on both knees

Freedom from heavy chains

Sins’ debts paid for thee

Christ shoulders pain

Grace forever free

From Lamentations 3:55-57:  “I called on Your name, O Lord, from the depths of the pit; You heard my plea, ‘Do not close Your ear to my cry for help, but give me relief!’  You came near when I called on You; You said, ‘Do not fear!'”

Each Tomorrow

From Hebrews 11:1-3:  “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.  Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval.  By faith we understand that the worlds were prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible.”

Faith in future unseen

Trusting God’s divine Word

Tasting His every truth

Steps taken, hope conferred

Faith finds each tomorrow

Hearing Shepherd’s firm voice

Welcoming hope with love

Peace filling every choice

Faith follows righteous path

Holding hope’s precious grace

According to God’s plan

Enemy gives up chase

Faith moving beyond fear

Finding mercy’s new light

Grasping Savior’s fresh rope

Hope shines forever bright

Faith offers endless joy

Returning to God’s home

Praising as One Body

Destined hope freely roams

From Psalm 23:6:  “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.”

Faithful Obedience

From Acts 5:29:  “But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than any human authority.'”

Energized through God’s Word

Timeless blessings of grace

Called to journey in faith

Savior’s peace to embrace

Enter body of Christ

Spirit shall never rest

From sunrise to sunrise

Faith overcomes each test

Faithful obedience

Accepting divine will

Glory to God above

Mercy flowing downhill

Faith trusts with confidence

Tomorrow shall brighten

Christ walks ahead of thee

Life’s burdens, He lightens

God’s gift of repentance

Kneel at Calvary’s tree

Forgiveness from above

Savior’s blood sets us free

From Romans 6:4:  “Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.”

Redemption’s Seed

From Genesis 15:5-6:  “He brought him [Abram] outside and said, ‘Look toward heaven and count the stars, if you are able to count them.’  Then He said to him, ‘So shall your descendants be.’  And he believed the Lord, and the Lord reckoned it to him as righteousness.”

Faith’s wilderness journey

Trusting Father above

His righteousness shineth

Doubts transfigured with love

Aimless breath transitions

Believing without fear

Promised Father’s actions

Salvation coming near

Faith’s encouraging steps

Absorbing Father’s voice

Comfort’s forgiving tone

Witness light’s blessed choice

Hope’s unshakable rock

Following Spirit’s lead

Connects with Father’s grace

Planted redemption’s seed

Faith’s confidence matures

Harvesting Father’s peace

Awakened from darkness

Savior’s risen new lease

Monday Memories: Watch Out: Christmas Is Almost Here! (Special Guest Post)

Watch out:

The word of the world; yes it has much to say . . .

. . . You have planning, and shopping, and shopping some more.

Then comes cooking, and wrapping and baking galore.

It’s a hustle and bustle that grows every day.

The snowball grows larger and rolls where it may.

You just can’t stop it, so watch out . . .

GET OUT OF THE WAY!

Watch out:

The word of the Lord, yes it has much to say . . .

. . . Rest your body and spirit, and then rest in me.

There’s a reason and meaning, a meaning to see.

It’s not parties or Santa behind that one day.

Go slowly and stop now, the star leads the way.

Some may have missed it, so watch out . . .

HE SLEPT ON THE HAY!

Such a small gift; so humble and so dear.

Could you possibly give it?

Could you be that bold?

Such a rich gift; so special and so near.

Could you possibly share it?

Could the truth be told?

Watch out:

The word of your life, yes it has much to say . . .

. . . Wrap the gift of the baby who brought us God’s grace.

Give His love to the world and to all you embrace.

Tell the world that this baby grew to be the way.

Go slowly and stop now, to hear Jesus say.

Don’t let them miss it, so watch out . . .

MY CROSS WAS THE WAY!

Watch out:

The word of the world; yes it has much to say . . .

. . . Still the word of your life can be of much more worth.

If you share with the world to celebrate His birth

Tell the world it’s not Santa, but Jesus who says.

Go slowly and stop now at my cross today.

Salvation is there, accept it . . .

I LOVE YOU ALWAYS!

Such a small gift; so humble and so dear.

Could you possibly give it?

Could you be that bold?

Such a rich gift; so special and so near.

Could you possibly share it?

Could the truth be told?
