Hear this, all who thirst

Come to these still waters

Blessed with Father’s grace

Every son and daughter

Hear this, leave darkness

Only this light to seek

Return to Father

Step beyond earthly creek

Hear this, feast awaits

Steadfast love to behold

Cling to Father’s Word

Leave wilderness, be bold

Hear this, come to Me

Lasting peace to embrace

Love in Father’s heart

Salvation’s truthful place

Hear this, Savior lives

Walk no longer in fear

Trust in Father’s plan

Heaven’s path becomes clear

From 1 Corinthians 10:13:  “No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone.  God is faithful, and He will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing He will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.”

I have come across ordinary people who have done extraordinary things.

We’re born to live.  One is a realist if one hopes.

Faith Coming Alive

From John 11:25-26:  “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life.  Those who believe in Me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?'”

Overwhelming with darkness

Tomorrow’s vision unseen

Out of life’s impossible

Wondering what faith will mean

Calvary’s light beams ahead

Today offers blessed place

Possible waiting in view

Powering toward Christ’s grace

Prince of Peace offers his hand

Hour of hope at last arrives

Redemption shall be fulfilled

Seeing faith coming alive

Bitter sorrow fades away

In Christ, mercy filled with love

Answers to prayer’s journey

Touching Spirit high above

From John 10:9-10:  “I am the gate.  Whoever enters by Me will be saved and will come in and go out and find pasture.  The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.  I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

Monday Memories: Nature’s Endless Song

I feel so fortunate to have so much of nature’s treasures not far from my front door.  Two metro parks are a short drive away, and their endless song always beckons me to return.  The photos used with this poem were taken in central Ohio at various times of the year.

Nature will never sing the blues

Her beauty sends out blessed clues

Walking with her in tranquil woods

Sharing her soul, always feels good

Moments cherished, singing with joy

Her spirit brings much to enjoy

Spending endless hours in her care

Filling with melodies to share

Life’s journey follows nature’s tune

Her endless smile reaches the moon

Smelling the essence of tall pines

Tasting better than vineyard’s wines

Cycle of living never fades

Nature coyly playing charades

Changing seasons bring new décor

Hearing symphonies, voices soar

Autumn sets up winter’s game plan

Spring fading into summer’s tan

Composing its endless, ageless song

Hearing nature, singing along
