Better tomorrow’s
Waiting in the wings
Whatever issue
Life’s hollow words sting
Today’s hope searching
Empty souls stare out
Yesterday shattered
Future dreams snuffed out
Confidence shaken
Sunrise uncertain
Starving for action
Grieving voices weep
Life struggles onward
Energy waning
From smallest ember
Hope’s flame still glowing
You build on failure. You use it as a stepping-stone. Close the door on the past.
From Proverbs 13:21: “Misfortune pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous.”
The art of living . . . is neither careless drifting on the one hand nor fearful clinging to the past on the other.
No amount of anxiety makes any difference to anything that is going to happen.
Horizon merges
Pulled along by setting sun—
Stirs nocturnal bliss
Autumn’s entree fades
Winter’s taste arrives on cue–
Sweet frosting and all
Facing challenges
Nature transforms to survive—
Will mankind follow?
In every conceivable manner, the family is link to our past, bridge to our future.
Find the good, and praise it.
When was the last time you thanked the Lord for not showing you the future? Just think of all the stuff you didn’t have to worry about just because you never knew it was coming your way.
From Psalm 31:14-15: “But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, ‘You are my God.’ My times are in your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors.”
You can’t do anything about the past. And you don’t know what the future is.
There is nothing lonelier than a man with a million friends.
The future belongs to people who can think, hustle, and create.
Patience is nothing more than a refined sense of confidence.
