I committed my life to Christ, and that faith has been most important to me ever since.
I pray every night, sometimes long prayers about a lot of things and a lot of people, but I don’t talk about it or brag about it because that’s between God and me, and I’m no better than anybody else in God’s sight.

When you persevere through a trial, God gives you a special measure of insight. You become the recipient of the favor of God as He gives to you, and those who suffer with you, something that would not be learned otherwise.
From Psalm 55:18: “He will redeem me unharmed from the battle that I wage, for many are arrayed against me.”
Dedicating time to knowing and experiencing God is a critical step toward a satisfying walk with Him.
From Psalm 63:1-2: “O God, you are my God, I seek you, my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory.”
We cannot direct the wind, but we can adjust the sails.
You can be rich in spirit, kindness, love and all things that you can’t put a dollar sign on.
We are not saved to be “channels only,” but to be sons and daughters of God. We are not turned into spiritual mediums, but into spiritual messengers; the message must be part of ourselves.
From 2 Timothy 4:2: “Proclaim the message; be persistent whether the time is favorable or unfavorable; convince, rebuke, and encourage, with the utmost patience in teaching.”
Great leaders understand that the right attitude will set the right atmosphere, which enables the right response from others.
From Isaiah 32:8: “But those who are noble plan noble things, and by noble things they stand.”
He watches over us in the storm, and He can bring us out of the storm when His purposes have been fulfilled.
From Proverbs 16:9: “The human heart plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps.”
I find it wondrously strange how yesterdays can go too soon and tomorrows can come too early, yet moments can last forever.
If there’s even a slight chance of getting something that will make you happy, risk it. LIfe’s too short, and happiness is too rare.
If my mind can conceive it, and my heart can believe it–then I can achieve it.
Inside of the ring or not, ain’t nothing wrong with going down. It’s staying down that’s wrong.
The Earth is a very small stage in a vast cosmic arena.
We’re in very bad trouble if we don’t understand the planet we’re trying to save.
