Each Unique Breath (Haiku Series #372)

Surprise

Landscape glistens white

Winter gift-wrapped for one day—

Melting tomorrow

Melodramatic

Calendar page turns

Blistering heat dome moves in—

Spring’s ironic script

Summoned

Thunderstorm descends

Torrential raindrops blossom—

Floodgates spring to close

  1. We had snow on Sunday morning. It was enough to cover everything with a clean white blanket. In the time I was writing my blog (about an hour) I watched it melt and nourish the ground below.

  2. Sounds like VA weather lately. The saying is if you don’t like the weather here, just wait a few days and it will change. We were up to the 80’s last week and had a frost warning last night. Lovely verses!
