Quiet fog whispers
Hanging above trees
Clouds resting on pines
Mist wanting to freeze
Landscape’s gentle peace
Transcending spirit
Now wanting to rest
Stillness, now hear it
Time ready to pause
Watching scene outside
Afternoon nap calls
Sleepy thoughts collide
Awake, look outdoors
Falling in rhythm
Fresh flakes floating down
Snow’s algorithm
White transformation
Mesmerizing view
Nature’s snowy blanket
Winter’s evening cue

Your poetry and the images provide a soothing end to the day’s course. Thank you!!

rather you than me Richard, it was freezing in the Himalayas with the power cut for 5 weeks each time snow fell …

Winter scenes are beautiful, it reminds me from Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, let us reason together, says the Lord: though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool.

Eileen, thanks for sharing the blessings of this verse from Isaiah. Indeed, an undisturbed winter scene can resemble the meaning of our scarlet sins washing clean as snow.
