Every Day
Sunrise sends greeting
Creator’s hand wakens day—
Glorious morning

Echoing Cadence
Soul-filled percussion
Pulsating afternoon sky–
Thunder’s rhythmic beat

Still Here
Hot days continue
Waiting for autumn colors—
Summer must insist

Love the images you’ve chosen to go with your awesome poetry.

Thank you Kathy for your kind words. While I enjoy the writing aspect of poetry, there is a great deal of satisfaction in discovering a photo to use with it.

Thank you Crissy. It is always a blessing to share one of my photographs (as I did with the first poem). It was taken at my wife’s hometown.

Donna, I appreciate you reading and sharing. The photo is one of my favorite from an early morning walk a couple of years ago when my wife and I were visiting her hometown in Maryland.

I agree. We’ve had a few of those thunderstorms this summer, probably more than usual.

I think we did as well. Now if I only had a front porch to sit on and enjoy them!
