Welcoming Sound
Hearing little feet
Lasting gifts of family—
Blessed grandchildren

Maturity
Impatient in youth
Tempered by life’s long journey—
With age comes patience

Blessing
Quiet morning hour
Quality productive time—
Confidence and peace

Patience still isn’t easy, but I’m certainly more patient than I was even ten years ago!

I ask for help with PAAAYSHUNS every day. It’s never easy! S’pose it’s a sign of the times … or just a personality type?

Jan, as I told someone, patience is a gift (yet one size doesn’t seem to fit us all).

With maturity, we usually find more patience. Thank goodness for my gray hairs.

Still working on patience… but a little better on this side of life than before…

Good for you Lisa! Many of us have discovered more patience, but it definitely isn’t one size fits all.

I love your haiku day! All three of these remind me of the holidays. It’s a helpful reminder to slow down and focus on what matters, enjoy the blessings, and not get caught up in the “should”s.

Thank you Jenny. I know for many the upcoming family times with Thanksgiving and Christmas are going to look different, but we can still focus on God’s love and our love of family. May God’s grace and peace cover you and your family.

I find myself writing about grandchildren from time to time, especially the younger ones. I have three younger ones out of the nine I have (ages 3, 2, 1). All three are in Montana so I am highly motivated to be able to see them when it is safe to travel.
