Monday morning blast
Inundated, overwhelmed—
Is it Friday yet?

So Rude!
Blissful morning dreams
Road closure . . . detour ahead—
Alarm clock ringing

Hoping for More
Businesses open
Light traffic, just a few sales—
Most staying at home

sometimes Mondays are tough, and let’s hope that sales start to increase soon for businesses…

I hope the economy begins to rebound (even if it is slow). My sister is a cosmetologist with her own shop, and she is still not open. My youngest brother manages a furniture store, and it has been tough sledding. I am worried about where the virus will be in the middle of June.

it’s got to be tough on small business owners as well as employees who have been out fo work because of the pandemic. I also hope it rebounds quickly and safely.

I looked at the midweek hump with some dismay this morning. I will be happy for the arrival of this weekend. 🌺

Great haiku as always. I’m happy to admit that I haven’t turned on my alarm for two months!

I totally understand. Mine sat silent until the past few days. I’ve been trying to be a bit more consistent with my morning routines. Of course, when the alarm rings, it is always coffee time!

Your “Hoping for More” says it all. It’s one thing to open. It’s another thing to feel safe and go out to those establishments that need our business.

I agree Jan. At the moment, my wife and I have little desire to mix with people. Living in Franklin County, which is still a bit of a “hot spot” doesn’t provide us with the relative safety of a more remote location.

Thanks for reading and sharing what you liked. Since I am now retired, I don’t experience the “first one” nearly as often.
