Writer’s Reflections

Photo by cottonbro studio on Pexels.com

Working through one creative mind

Marking day’s journey with words

Discovering everyday joy

Sometimes thoughts need to be stirred

Writing breathes through life’s marathon

Joining one more puzzle piece

Painting another sketch to share

Sometimes thoughts stir words’ new lease

Picking one theme to create from

Pouring forth from active voice

Sharing words’ unique perspective

Sometimes thoughts stir sharpest choice

Gathering daily momentum

Setting comfortable pace

Harvesting each page filled with words

Sometimes thoughts stir one more chase

Dorothy Parker (1893-1967) was an American poet and writer.  Much of her writing features a satirist’s view of the world.  Based in New York City, her wit found a home in her writing.
