Warren Wiersbe Quote

Whatever purpose motivates your life, it must be something big enough and grand enough to make the investment worthwhile.

From 1 Chronicles 28:20:  “David said further to his son Solomon, ‘Be strong and of good courage, and act.  Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you.  He will not fail you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.'”

Warren Wiersbe (1929-2019) was an American pastor and Christian writer.  His journey as a Christian teacher was prolific with publication of over 50 books.

Beacon’s Night Thread

Navigating stormy seas

Hazardous, rocky shore

Hidden perils loom ahead

Darkness waiting to score

Facing overwhelming odds

Danger swarms all about

Faith’s ally always waiting

Rescue coming, no doubt

Searching for safety’s refuge

Lighthouse offers assist

Brighter than any moonlight

Mercy found in its midst

Steering away from trouble

Calmer waters ahead

Eerie sky shines like daylight

Promised beacon’s night thread

Arriving at safe harbor

Harm retreating away

Gratitude’s voice welcomes home

Sunrise blesses this day

Dee Brown Quotes

To survive, the weak must feed on the hearts of the strong.

Nothing lives long . . . only the earth and mountains.

Dee Brown (1908-2002) was an American novelist and historian.  Published in 1970, his most famous publication was the book, BURY MY HEART AT WOUNDED KNEE.  It detailed the history of western expansion in the United States through the eyes of the Native Americans.

Grace Shall Seal

From John 12:34:  “The crowd answered Him, ‘We have heard from the law that the Messiah remains forever.  How can You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up?  Who is this Son of Man?'”

Walking in darkness

Uncertainty’s steps

Faith seeking answers

Burdened with each misstep

Encouraging love

Redemption’s risen light

Faith finding its way

Son of Man stands upright

Seeking heaven’s peace

Spirit guides actions

Faith’s revealing trust

Calvary’s transaction

Believing in Christ

Shadows fade away

Faith sharing Gospel

In His name, let us pray

Reflecting hope’s path

Truth’s lantern reveals

Faith, Jesus leading

Safe passage, grace shall seal

From John 12:35-36:  “Jesus said to them, ‘The light is in you for a little longer.  Walk while you have the light, so that the darkness may not overtake you.  If you walk in the darkness, you do not know where you are going.  While you have the light, believe in the light, so that you may become children of light.'”

Nothing is surprising to God; nothing is a setback to His plans; nothing can thwart His purposes; and nothing is beyond His control.

Joni Eareckson Tada (born 1949) is an American Christian author and radio host.  Much of her work has focused on ministry in the disability community.  Her life journey is a living testament to this quote.
