Morning’s Blindfold

Early morning dawn arrives

Missing nature’s boldest light

Covering heavens and earth

Thickest fog masks sun’s headlight

Ghostly, ominous shadows

Cloaking trees by hidden creek

Slithering mist moves unchecked

Nature fills with blind mystique

Stillness surrounds paradise

Witnessing morning on hold

Waiting patiently for change

Nature removes her blindfold

Suddenly, haze disappears

Hailing sun’s brilliant return

Switching on morning’s magic

Thankfully, fog now adjourns

      • Hello {{{Richard}}} – according to my friends/neighbors there, life is good under the Big Sky. But we are in CA right now… and life is marvelous under this blue sky with perfect temperatures! ❤ How's life in your neck of the woods? How nice of you to house sit with a friend's dog!!

        • Jan, I am happy you have the opportunity to travel to California. May your weather continue to be beautiful. I am preparing to travel to Montana to see family and help my mother out. She has been coping with many challenges this past several months, but there is brighter light coming her way. I will be pretty much marooned in Billings for this trip, but perhaps we can hook up on another trip. Blessings to you and Bob.

          • God bless you for going to help your mom. I am sure she will appreciate your presence. I do look forward to a trip to Montana for you when you are free to come to the Madison Valley. It will be fun to meet you in person.

            • Sorry I missed you on this trip. Our schedule was pretty full, and my youngest daughter in Bozeman was away. We are planning a fall trip, perhaps in October. Please try to stay cool and safe under the HOT Big Sky.

            • The rains came yesterday and today and cooled off the Big Sky. If it’s the last week in October when you’re here, we’ll be home. Do keep in touch, We’d love yo see you in person!!

            • Good! Please do! The invitation is quite sincere. We’ll be home last week in October on… (but gone last week in Sept through 3rd week in Oct.)… that is if the variant doesn’t close borders and keep us from being able to travel! Early November may still see some autumn, but it could be the start of winter… you just never know in this Big Sky country!
