Turf Fight
Eagle’s invasion
Trespassing and threatening—
Tiny bird attacks

Still Safe
Dark clouds approaching
When thunderstorm moves away—
Tree limbs wave goodbye

Forever Gone
Footprints on the beach
Nature brings its eraser—
Surf cleans them away

I love the pics especially the footprints, it reminds me of that story about Jesus

Nature gives us such inspiration, doesn’t it? Beautiful Haiku, Richard. Bob saw an eagle just like that one – in fact two of them while he was fishing at Quake Lake yesterday. ❤

Amazing for Bob! I found an eagle when walking a different trail a couple of weeks ago at a nature park. He was sitting up in a large, dead tree with a perfect outlook of the ground below.

Thanks Jim. I noticed an eagle on a morning walk at one of my favorite nature parks. He was sitting up in a large, dead tree with a perfect outlook below.

some great imagery here in these poems – and I can’t help but think of my Philadelphia Eagles…

Ah! I will be on the lookout for an eagle at one of the parks I walk. I sighted one a couple of weeks ago.
