Margaret, I am pleased you enjoyed. When I began teaching back in 1978, I was teaching typing . . . on manual typewriters no less. My, how technology changed during my career.

I learned on a manual one too. They had just came out with the “electric” ones but there were only a few in the class, and it was a big deal to get to use the electric ones hahaha 🙂 The teacher would rotate us one those.

Margaret, thanks for sharing. I can remember later in my teaching having a classroom filled with half electronic typewriters and half personal computers. It took a couple of years to make the final transition because of the costs.

I loved the old typewriters. There was something about them. The feel of the keys, having to apply that pressure to make the imprint. The electric ones were nice because we could correct it pretty easy 🙂 The only computers we ever had in school we had to program ourselves hahaha 🙂 Thank you for the memories 🙂
