I’d forgotten that credit card trick. Now, I’m remembering the night a staff member used a credit card to open a locked exam room in Ben Taub hospital in Houston. Good times — and hooray for multi-use tools!

How I wish for myself, too! In keeping my carbs and sugars under control, I pretty much think of my experiences with donuts in days past. I can remember a time when there weren’t any donuts I wouldn’t want to meet. For you Jim, I hope you found a donut to enjoy. God’s peace!

I know of so many people, myself included, who have used their credit card to scrape ice off a car windshield. Perhaps credit card companies should start competing on the basis of whose card does the best job…
