Searching for life’s certainty

Facing darkness without end

Seeking mercy’s treasured light

Father’s truth will never bend

 

Praying for darkness to leave

Believing in light above

Accepting His timely grace

Father’s gentle touch of love

 

Walking into valley’s light

Stepping toward Heaven’s gate

Watching darkness crawl away

Father’s certainty creates

 

Rising from Calvary’s death

Trusting Savior’s final words

Defeating darkness at last

Father’s light no longer blurred

 

Feeling certainty redeemed

Tearing apart chains of sin

Seeing Eternity’s light

Father’s benevolence wins

Rising with hope’s clear light

Love descends from Heaven

Fulfilling mercy’s flight

 

Faith speaks through God’s Word

Nourishing truth each day

Whisper of light to trust

Breathing hope, never gray

 

Faith targets saint’s heart

Sowing each faithful seed

Spirit nurtures each one

Blessing how hope shall feed

 

Faith’s patient journey

Praying to Lord above

Strengthened steps persevere

Uniting with hope’s love

 

Faith’s kingdom shall come

Redeeming with love’s grace

Father, Son, and Spirit

Offering hope’s embrace

Blindness to Gospel’s light

Following enemy’s false word

Nonbelievers walk in darkness

Tomorrow remains blurred

 

Alone in wilderness

Searching for trusted pathway home

God sends His righteous light to guide

Where Spirit always roams

 

Sheep never forgotten

Coming to Shepherd’s open gate

Mercy’s always forgiving light

Witness tomorrow’s fate

 

Vision no longer blind

Finding light’s genuine code

Faithful covenant sealed with love

Freedom’s eternal road

 

Savior’s voice heard from high

Shining through darkness, Heaven’s light

God’s glory seen in face of Christ

Salvation dressed in white

Suppressing every fear

Praising His blessed name

Eternity’s hope

Whenever we search out biblical truth about Christ–and we find it in Leviticus as well as in Luke–we are turning our leaves toward the light.

From Leviticus 24:1-4:  “The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, ‘Command the Israelites to bring you pure oil of beaten olives for the lamp, that a light may be kept burning regularly.  Aaron shall set it up in the tent of meeting, outside the curtain of the covenant, to burn from evening to morning before the Lord regularly; it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.  He shall set up the lamps on the lampstand of pure gold before the Lord regularly.'”
