It is God to whom and with whom we travel, and while He is the End of our journey, He is also at every stopping place.
From Proverbs 21:21: “Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honor.”
Elisabeth Elliot (1926-2015) was a Christian author and speaker. She and her husband, Jim, spent time as missionaries in Ecuador.
Her husband Jim was killed on a missions trip to the Auca Indians in Ecuador. She and the other wives showed real forgiveness and love by continuing to minister to the natives who had killed their husbands. I admire her greatly and love that you found a wonderful quotation by her.

Vickie, thanks for sharing. I, too, have read about the remarkable witness of these women. Their testament reminds me of the faith of Daniel in the Lions’ den.

I’m so glad this is true. I can’t imagine going through life without God’s Presence to comfort, encourage and direct me.

Amen! Elliot’s own journey of faith in her missionary work reminds us of God’s presence.
