I really relate to those quotes. Had not heard of Melody Beattie – thanks for introducing her to me. I will look up her books. The second of these quoted here reminds me of a painted sign I have in my dining room (the place where guests gather and chat about all manner of stuff) – “Anyone can find the dirt in someone; be the one who finds the gold.”
