Time is the least thing we have.
The best way to find out if you can trust somebody is to trust them.

This series of poems (written in the German-inspired style of Elfchen or Elevenie) shares a total of eleven words in each poem, with a sequence by line of one, two, three, four, and one words.

It is a waste of time trying to unscrew the inscrutable workings of God. He honors faith and obedience.
From Acts 5:29: “But Peter and the apostles answered, ‘We must obey God rather than any human authority.'”
Charles Swindoll (born 1934) is an American pastor and Christian author.

Evangelical repentance is not at the beck and call of the creature. It is the gift of God.
From Romans 2:4: “Or do you despise the riches of His kindness and forbearance and patience? Do you not realize that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?”
Arthur Walkington (A. W.) Pink (1886-1952) was an English Bible teacher and Christian writer. Following his death, many of his writings were well-received by readers. This turnabout established him as an influential evangelical author.
From Jeremiah 17:7-8: “Blessed are those who trust in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream.”

Coming to faith’s crossroads
Two unique trails offer choice
Trusting selves to wilderness
Or, following God’s voice
Like tree planted with grace
Waters nourish every root
Filling with life, staying green
Bearing always rich fruit
Sustained through steadfast trust
Even when darkness brings drought
Sustaining each righteous breath
Finding God’s faithful sprouts
Sunrise at Calvary
Resurrection’s risen hope
Witnessing His empty tomb
Grasping Christ’s promised rope

From 1 Corinthians 15:20-22: “But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died. For since death came through a human, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human, for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ.”

God’s plans are not hindered when the events of this world are carnal or secular. His presence penetrates, regardless.
From Psalm 138:4: “All the kings of the earth shall praise you, O Lord, for they have heard the words of your mouth.”
Charles Swindoll (born 1934) is an American pastor and Christian author.
From Psalm 13:5-6: “But I trusted in Your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation. I will sing to the Lord because He has dealt bountifully with me.”

Tomorrow’s uncertainty
Darkness surrounds thee
Asking, where to turn?
Confidence, ready to flee
Focused on Bethlehem’s star
God invites our trust
Savior’s love fills heart
Assurance grows, steps adjust
Unwavering peace stirs hope
No longer afraid
Spirit lifting faith
Comfort found in joy’s upgrade
Rejoice in life’s salvation
Christ’s redeeming love
Heavenly praise sings
Unafraid, fed from above
God’s righteousness shares vision
Blessing faith’s new lease
Seeds sown with mercy
Confidence blooms, lasting peace

From the words of Canadian writer and Christian blogger, Ann Voskamp: “There is an unwavering peace today when an uncertain tomorrow is trusted to an unchanging God.
From Psalm 77:14: “You are the God who works wonders; You have displayed Your might among the peoples.”

In days of trouble
Enemy’s darkness flees
Hearing heavens’ thunder
Father’s grace, always free
In midst of trials
Trusted light shall arrive
Feeling comforting peace
Father’s passion alive
In deepest abyss
Hopeless, yet not alone
Reaching for mercy’s hand
Father’s mighty deeds sown
One more miracle
Absent of His footprints
Transforming with wonders
Father’s breath offers hint
Another sunrise
Joy found in heaven’s love
Restoring fragile health
Father’s touch from above

From Psalm 77:19: “Your way was through the sea, Your path through the mighty waters, yet Your footprints were unseen.”
From 1 Thessalonians 3:11-12: “Now may our God and Father Himself and our Lord Jesus direct our way to you. And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we abound in love for You.”

Arising each morning
Heart breathes in Father’s love
Praising pilgrim’s journey
Grace follows from above
Standing firm with Father
Hands of patient potter
Shaping this precious day
Mercy’s living water
Overcoming darkness
Light comes from Father’s Word
Taking in wisdom’s breath
Faith strengthened from what’s heard
Accepting Father’s plan
Truth breaks through evil’s crust
Walking in harmony
Submission brings man’s trust
Breaking free from bondage
Christ severs every chain
Paying sins’ debts with blood
In victory, He reigns

From 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10: “For God has destined us not for wrath but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep we may live with Him.”
