Suffocated in Drought

Leaves falling early

Nature witnesses drought

Farmers’ harvest dwindles

Future seeming in doubt

Nation in crisis

Hopeful news faces drought

Today fills with darkness

Tomorrow seeks fresh route

World’s chaos deepens

Suffocated in drought

Actions for peace missing

Voices of anguish sprout

Leaves filling with green

Rainfall erases drought

Farmers’ outlook restored

Future transformed from doubt

Nation’s common ground

Compromise quelling drought

Hope’s spirit rekindled

Tomorrow walks new route

World commits to peace

Goodwill overcomes drought

Togetherness . . . one goal

Voices of courage sprout

The one thing that hinders God is our unbelief.

From Mark 9:23-24:  “Jesus said to him, ‘If you are able!  All things can be done for the one who believes.’  Immediately the father of the child cried out, ‘I believe; help my unbelief!'”

F. B. (Frederick Brotherton) Meyer (1847-1929) was an English pastor, evangelist, and Christian writer.  He was heavily invested with inner city mission work in both his native country as well as the United States.

Once doubt begins, it spreads quickly.

John Maynard Keynes (1883-1946) was a English economist and philosopher, who was one of the most influential thinkers of his time.

Life’s defining moments are usually played under the shadow of doubt.

The key to all strange things is in thy heart.  My spirit has come home, that sailed the doubtful seas.

From Philippians 4:13:  “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”

Countee Cullen (1903-1946) was an American poet and novelist, who made a significant impact during the Harlem Renaissance.

Marty Rubin Quotes

One is never wounded by the love one gives, only by the love one expects.

There is a difference between doubt and unbelief.  Doubt is a matter of mind:  we cannot understand what God is doing or why He is doing it.  Unbelief is a matter of will:  we refuse to believe God’s Word and obey what He tells us to do.

From Mark 9:24:  “Immediately the father of the child cried out, ‘I believe; help my unbelief!'”
