Great leaders understand that the right attitude will set the right atmosphere, which enables the right response from others.
From Daniel 12:3: Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the sky, and righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.”

We count on God’s mercy for our past mistakes; we count on God’s love for our present needs; but we count on God’s sovereignty for the future.
From James 4:8: Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

When we submit difficult and alarming situations to God, He promises that His peace will be like a military garrison to guard our hearts from fear.

The Christian life is not a constant high. I have my moments of deep discouragement. I have to go to God in prayer with tears in my eyes, and say, “O God, forgive me,” or “Help me.”
From Joshua 1:9: “I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

A disciple is a follower of Christ. That means you take on His priorities as your own. His agenda becomes your agenda. His mission becomes your mission.
From John 12:25-26: “Those who love their life lose it, and those who hate their life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves Me must follow Me, and where I am, there will My servant be also. Whoever serves Me, the Father will honor.”

No journey is complete that does not lead through some dark valleys. We can properly comfort others only with the comfort we ourselves have been given by God.
From Psalm 94:19: “When doubts filled my mind, Your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer.”

Nothing sets a person so much out of the devil’s reach as humility.
From Philippians 2:3: “Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.”
