You are already the awakeness that you seek.
You don’t have to join a monastery, or practice in a cave to discover the well-being, clarity, and open hearted awareness that is already within you.

Absolutely true!

This reminds me of one of my favorite Mary Oliver poems:
“It doesn’t have to be
the blue iris, it could be
weeds in a vacant lot, or a few
small stones; just
pay attention, then patch
a few words together and don’t try
to make them elaborate, this isn’t
a contest but the doorway
into thanks, and a silence in which
another voice may speak.”

I understand Kate. I have been there myself, but I haven’t found a suitable cave yet.

Ahhh, but the cave or monastery isn’t about putting / developing something within you so much as it is shutting out the toxicity of the human world so that awakeness can more fully blossom.

Sometimes, we just need to turn off everything for a few hours.
