Agreed, although that seems to be all of them the last few decades.

Kennedy may be the best example of being groomed to be President. His father’s goal was to place JFK in the White House.

Maybe, but look at the Bush & Clinton families. There’s been off and on talk the last 4 years about having Michelle Obama run also.

Sorry for my lateness. I really appreciate your thoughts. I believe Michelle Obama has no desire to run for President, but the media (social and otherwise) sometimes enjoys creating discussion of such things.

Creating drama you mean. š
I’ll agree it seems very unlikely, but every once in a while, like at the convention, she acts like a candidate.

I agree Jim. One of the most planned runs for the White House ran through Joseph Kennedy in seeing his son JFK elected in 1960. He was determined to have one of his sons be there.

yes, that certainly seemed to be the case. I just wish JFK had served longer so that I could get a better feel for how effective a President he was…

I agree with you Jim. Kennedy’s potential as President was snuffed out too soon. I sometimes wonder how the 60s would have turned out with him at the helm.

Yes Jim, I will keep plugging along. I don’t really have a definite schedule. I wonder what group I could find quotes from after finishing up the Presidents.

Jim, thanks for sharing Churchill. I recently read a book about his relationship with FDR during World War II. He is quite an interesting man. I will check into more about Churchill.

Awesome! What’s the book called?

The book is entitled: Franklin and Winston: An Intimate Portrait of an Epic Friendship. It is written by Jon Meacham (2003). It was an enjoyable read as it covers the entirety of their relationship during World War II.
